MTV Movies Blog: ‘Twilight’ DVD Announcement! Special Features Include Deleted Scenes, Documentary
Mark your calendars Twilighters! On March 21st you will finally be able to own a copy of “Twilight†on DVD, and that means you’ll be able to savor every single moment as many times as you like. That date falls on a Saturday, an extremely odd day for a DVD release (virtually all other films come out on Tuesdays.) According to the studio, the Saturday date was selected “to encourage midnight release parties for fans across the nation.â€And fear not, this release of “Twilight†is anything but a bare bones edition of the film. The eagerly anticipated DVD release is going to be packed with special features. Check them out after the jump.
Among the features are:
–Audio Commentary by director Catherine Hardwicke, and stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
–Five Extended Scenes with introductions by the director
–Five Deleted Scenes with introductions by the director
–Three Music Videos from Muse, Paramore and Linkin Park
–The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen — A seven-part documentary
–Comic-Con Phenomenon featurette

We already know most of this information. It’s a very smart move on Summit’s part – to release the DVD on a Saturday to encourage those parties. I know many of you have questioned the weird release date, but now you know why.
We have heard that Hot Topic will be having a DVD party release. When we have more details, we will post them for you.
