MTV: ‘TWILIGHT’ VS. ‘SLUMDOG’ FOR MTV MOVIE AWARDS
MTV has two new articles for us today where they take a look at who is likely to win ‘Best Kiss’ at the MTV Movie Awards this coming Sunday, and they even let stars weigh in on the Twilight vs. Slumdog Millionaire battle for the coveted ‘Best Movie’ award.

In terms of ‘Best Kiss’, MTV considers Slumdog the frontrunner, and Twilight the underdog:
Who’s the Favorite?
Over the past few months, we’ve learned three important lessons: The “Slumdog Millionaire” people tend to do well when it comes to televised competition; people love, love, love the scene where Freida Pinto demands a kiss from Dev Patel in the train station; and Oscar, the Golden Globes and every other awards show known to man have already kneeled before Danny Boyle’s heart-tugging instant classic. So, if you think we’re betting against Freida and Dev taking home Best Kiss, you’ve got another thing coming. And yes, that is our final answer.Who’s the Underdog?
As much as I’d love to give the inside track to my “Twilight” homies KStew and RPattz, they have three more movies full of face-sucking to remind us why Stephenie Meyer’s romantic words have swept a generation off its feet.
Looking at ‘Best Movie’, the stars seem to lean a bit toward Slumdog, but they definitely don’t count Twilight out:
Taylor Momsen: “I would pick ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’ It was totally not what I was expecting. The little boy in the beginning was so cute. I couldn’t handle it.”Jesse McCartney: “I’m going to have to go with the ‘Slumdog’ team. I thought it was a very creative film.”
Jordana Brewster: ” ‘Twilight’! I really did love ‘Twilight,’ but I really did love ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’ So those two. [But Kristen Stewart] is a really good actress. I really love Kristen Stewart.”
Spencer Pratt: ” ‘Slumdog’! We love that movie. The storytelling [was really good]. I’ve never seen a movie told in that way. Visually stimulating.”
Heidi Montag: “I haven’t seen ‘Twilight’ yet. It scares me a little bit. Vampires!”
Anna Faris: “I love ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ — it got its accolades. I kind of root for ‘Twilight.’ It was such a fun, amazing movie.”
While the rest of voting for the awards is closed, you can still vote for ‘Best Movie’ for a while longer. To do so, click here. And if you haven’t already read MTV’s big New Moon announcement from this morning, here.
I actually haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire, so I can’t give a completely unbiased opinion on this situation. I think MTV hit the nail on the head by saying that Kristen and Rob have three more movies to potentially win best kiss, but I’ll admit I have a bit of selfishness inside of me and I’d like to see Twilight win Best Kiss and Best Movie for all four films.
Have you seen Slumdog Millionaire? Realistically, who are you betting on to dominate the MTV Movie Awards? How many awards do you think Twilight will walk away with?
