MYSPACE.COM: EXCLUSIVE ALTERNATE SCENE FROM ‘TWILIGHT’
Good news, Twilight addicts: Myspace.com has posted an exclusive alternate scene from ‘Twilight’! This video is an extended version of the scene where Edward takes Bella into his room for the first time and includes short commentary from director Catherine Hardwicke:
I actually really like this scene. This scene and the “Danger in the Woods” deleted scene were very simple, but I think they developed Bella and Edward’s relationship a bit more, and I think that is necessary. I do also realize that even though we’d like the movie to be 5 hours long and fit all the extended/deleted scenes in there, that’s not realistic.
What did you think of this alternate scene? Do you like the shortened version that was in the movie, or do you think they should have included the full scene?

This is a good scene which should have been included…except for the rainstick part - chinchilla droppings are just weird!!
Yeah, I really liked this scene. It was cute! And really funny about the rain stick! HAHAH!
Some of it I liked - Edward’s gorgeous face when Bella asked if he knew his room was amazing - but overall I don’t think the tone was right from Bella. A litle too confident and comfortable. Hard to explain. I love that room!
I loved this. I just love how both of them are so hesitant, so, shy with each other. Kristen and Rob absolutely nail that part of the relationship here. Neither wants to reveal too much, in case it IS too much.
The non-development of the relationship between Bella and Edward is for me, the single biggest flaw in the movie. I know movies are a visual medium and can’t portray emotions the way the written word can, but, I just hope more effort is focused on this point in the future.
Obviously both actors can handle this type of scene. Both can convey the nuance necessary to allow the viewer to feel the emotions we all know these characters are feeling.
LOL! I agree a five hour movie would have been great. Also, it wasn’t clear to me, will this scene be in the DVD extras?
I very much liked Edward’s expression when Bella commented on his room being amazing.
I would have no problem sitting through 5 hour movie of Twilight!

I liked this scene, it was a little awkward but apart from that it was good and it would hvae been nice to see in the film.
And wow! at Roberts expresions in this scene… he is so gorgeous!
OMG!!! this would have been excellent to see!!! It shows more detail…. I soooo love them they did an awesome job!! Cant wait for the DVD.
i think they should’ve left it in! there just wasn’t enough dialogue in the movie between the two of them, IMO.
I loved this scene. wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than the shortented one it was perfect this one. the expressions are dead on. and i wouldnt mind 5 hrs of twilight lmao fave extended scene so far not delted cuz the dream scene still gets me omgezerz lol
I had already seen this on youtube and I gotta agree that I wish this extra stuff would have been kept except the chinchilla droppings!!! WTF? HHAHAHA
