NEW MOON MONDAY: SHOULD THIS SONG BE ON THE NEW MOON SOUNDTRACK?

Both songs are beautiful. “Need” is great, playing when Edward leaves. But I’m not sure if the song is sad enough. I need something more, something that rips your heart out when you listen to it.

I love this soundtrack segment. I look up the suggestion, and then I end up buying of the songs for my Ipod. So, Thanks.

The Lullaby is absolutely perfect for the flight home. I’m actually crying after hearing it… The lyrics are so incredibly fitting, that is sounds like it was written inspired Bella & Edward’s love. Just wow. I am in awe. And crying still. Oh, if only someone would come to sing me to sleep…

I’ve never heard “Need” before, but it’s really beautiful, and I think it should definitely be featured in the movie, in my opinion. It’s so fitting!

The Spill Canvas is amazing. I think this song would be GREAT for New Moon.

The song is perfect. One my favorite bands and I have heard it live. It shows exactly how Edward feel and decides to do.

I dont like this song AT ALL fr the movie. It has a teen movie/tv sound to it. When i hear it i almost think of One Tree Hill or even Dawson’s Creek. Twilight has a much deeper story and is so infused with passion and high intensity. Find something better … maybe independant.

not a fan of the ‘Lullaby’ song. But i love the song ‘Need’.

I like it but i think they can find a better one for that part in the moive. I like the song need for when Edward leaves Bella. What I’ve Done is a good song for when Edward finds out Bella is “Dead” and goes off to Italy. When Bella jumps of the cliff I like the song Going Under by Evanescence. (I might of spelled that wrong.) Paper Cut would be good for the b-day party.

Yeah it was kinda nice i guess… but i do agree with crystal that it’s kinda teenish, and about “need” i feel like i am the only one that really don’t like it! i don’t hate it, but it’s the same as with this song. It’s kinda teenish and cheesy ugh. and the fact that if it’s going to be in the film we will know. i don’t know i would like to be suprised with the music in that case…

It’s a very sweet song. But I think there’s a stark difference between songs that are explicative of the story and songs that will fit the movie. I don’t think this would fit the movie. But to have it on while reading that scene? Yeah, that’d be great.

This song is perfect for the plain ride home. Hana’s song would be great for the cliff scene.

I liked this song. I haven’t checked out Need yet. But I thought this one’s lyrics were very fitting with Edward and Bella and would be great for the part on the plane suggested. It would sound better if Rob recorded it with his guitar.

I think ‘Untouched’ by The Veroncias would be so perfect in New Moon. Even their music video has the right vibe- sort of dark and emotional, but sweetly obsessive. I can see it playing while she is on the way to Italy with Alice…and the veronicas have a crush on Rob Pattinson so im sure they would be up for it!

I’ll pass on Lullaby (I agree with crystal). But NEED is beautiful! I wish they would use it. I’m not sure they’re listening to us, though.

I like it but I’m not sure if it fits New Moon enough. That is my oppinion though.

you know, i’ve actually been on tons of websites dedicated to twilight, new moon, eclipse && breaking dawn && they all have there own playlists of songs for the movies && some of the suggestions for new moon i honestly couldn’t see being in the movie. but this song i definately think is perfect for this scene. well done!

Lullaby is BORING!!! I hope this song is not used in the movie. Take a listen to some of the songs Stephenie listened to while writing the book. Yes, the whole story it romantic, etc, but it’s got edge and I think the song is too boring and safe, and not interesting!

I deffinatly think that Need should be in the movie. I have been a part of the grass roots effort to get it on the soundtrack since the first time I heard the song and saw the scene in my head asthough the movie had already been released!!! I deffinatly think that everyone should help getting that song on the soundtrac, she has links on her site to different places to help!

No, to this song and a big NO to “need” I can’t stand the song “Need” I am sure that Hana is a wonderful girl,but the song is not perfect for New Moon,just like it wasn’t perfect for Twilight and will not be perfect for Eclipse either,just in case the campaigne continues throughout the entire series. If I know Stephenie Meyer as most of us do,then we all know the kind of music that has inspired her to write,I think we will have more Muse in the soundtrack and I also know from good authority that Candace Cheree’ has made a beautiful sad ballad for the forest scene in the movie to be released very soon.She is a very talented adult singer, I can’t wait to hear this song!!!! i think that iris is a really good song for the movie as well. I feel sorta upset though that they arent making a movie for Breaking Dawn it was my Favorite.

I love this song. However, for New Moon, I don’t think that is the place for it.

Need would be wonderful . I think that it would fit perfectly during the period of months where Bella is lifeless after Edward leaves her.

I think ot would be great for New Moon, it certainly goes with that part of the book (will be film) and to me it seems like it fits in with the Twilight sorta songs too. Great idea!

omg yea! both of these songs are perfect for the soundtrack. im actually almost on the verge of crying! they just totally set the mood of the book and whats happening.

based on the intro alone it should be on it. it doesn’t completely pertain to new moon, but the melody is beautiful. especially with the cello. very mellow and somber. i think it should be.

I think this song is perfect for the ride back from Italy. But, I don’t think “Need” should be the song for when he leaves Bella. I believe “Bella’s Lullaby” should be played as he tells her good-bye and departs from her life. “Bella’s Lullaby” would portray so much more emotion. It’s the song he plays while they are still together- it’s her song from his heart. It’s beautiful but sad. It fills you up with happiness but will leave your heart aching. If you could just picture the scene where a leaves and keep the song in your head, you’d see the “Bella’s Lullaby” is a perfect match.

New Moon needs a darker, more passionate soundtrack. Check out “Hello” by Evanescence (the lyrics fit better than “My Immortal,” which is too mainstream anyway).

Don’t like any of those for the movie. I would like something more dark, more goth and not so teen. The Storm from Lifehouse was cool thought.

Lullaby and Need really do fit the film and book.Both tunes express an emotion fitting to the scene. Need for when Edward leaves Bella and Lullaby for trip home on the plane.

YES TO BOTH! Definitely. Lullaby on the ride home. I think Need should be played when shes laying in the woods after he leaves her. That will make it all the times worse.
