This week we have Bella, Horrida Bella by Andrea MarchantI’ve fallen in love with another original song. I love the beautiful piano in this song, it has such a comforting yet wistful tone, with notes that carry a melancholy vibe throughout the song. I think this song is perfect for Bella’s changing emotions in New Moon. Where do you think it should go?

Have a song you think would be better? We’ve now heard from Chris Weitz that Muse, Radiohead and Band of Skulls have a good chance of being on the soundtrack. I know original music will make it in, but there is no telling which song already written by these bands could also be used. There is a new song out by Mayday Parade called “The Silence”. I personally think that this song would be great for New Moon! It’s very good!

The song should definitely be included in the New Moon Soundtrack. The melodic harmonies between strong vocals and piano are a perfect match for Bella’s mixed emotions and changing feelings. VOTE x 1000!!!!!!

I also must just say “WOW” to The Silence by Mayday Parade.
I listened to it and I just pictured the scene where Bella jumps off the cliff. I love it. I can clearly picture that song for that scene. I don’t know about anyone else but that would be awesome.

Wow, I really really love this song, but I would just like to say that most of it sounds suspiciously like the song Winter Song by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson. Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if this person copied almost the exact beat of that song, and I’m kind of surprised that nobody else noticed this….even down to the voice…at first when the song started I thought it was winter song! 0.0
As far as Muse goes (LUV MUSE!!!), I would love “Apocalypse Please” for when Edward leaves Bella, which is the end of her world, her apocalypse or I would love “Sing for Absolution” for suicidal Edward as he faces all his guilt over Bella and what waits for him after death.
I also think “New Moon” by Cave In is brilliant for Jacob’s struggle to help Bella and wake her up out of her dark period.
And lastly, “The Horse is Alive” by Sensefield, which represents well the end of New Moon when “the fairytale is back on” as Bella would say and Edward is grappling with trying to forgive himself for leaving her.
Andrea Marchant has a stunning voice and the piano is gorgeous. This is hauntingly beautiful and would be perfect for New Moon.
time is running out by muse is PERFECT for new moon like seriously just listen to the lyrics. i think it should play while she is running through volterra to save edward
i think the perfect song for new moon is Like a Knife by Secondhand Serenade it describes every part of new moon, it talks about edward leaving bella’s depression and it even says “all you did was stop the bleeding but these scars will stay forever” its a PERFECT song!!!!

I love this song!!!! The beautiful piano line connects well to the first movie where Edward plays “Clair de Lune” on the piano and will help unify the feeling and emotion of the two movies.
I think this should be played while she jumps from the cliff into the water. Then while she’s in the water and hearing and seeing Edward and then trying to find her way back up to the surface. I think this would be a good place for the song. Cause she’s so ready to die and she’s at her most desperate time and she’s just wanting the pain to end and she’s so confused. Then once she is saved by Jacob, it can still be playing because she’ll still be in that same thought pattern.
