NEW MOON SET: MONTEPULCIANO, ITALY UPDATE

Thanks to Twilighters 2.0 Italia, we have some updates on the filming locations in Italy! Here is what they say about them:

“And here’s to you the latest photos from the set of Montepulciano!

Piazza Grande are mounting the famous fountain scene of the race for Bella!

Here are the first pictures of the installation set!”

I love getting these shots from Italy. Everything I’ve seen from there has been exactly like I pictured it in the book. It feels like it is coming alive, I can just see Bella racing through this plaza trying to get to Edward in time.

What do you think of these pictures? Is this the Italy you saw in your head when you read the books?

    Those photos wreak havoc with the butterflies in my stomach. Although I normally love Italy, there’s an ominous feel to it all. And honestly, Demetri and Felix freak me out more than Jane does. When Felix always winks at Bella it makes me want to puke. (sorry). It’s so perverted in a death sort of way. I would avoid them at all costs.

    And yet, this is where she (they) save him *sigh*. Oh my, my my.

    Back to work for me. I’m down to only popping in here about 10 x a day instead of 20. Woo hoo. wink

    omg the pics look exacly wat i had in my head omg omg i cant wait 2 c it nd the funny thing is that eclipse comes out on my 17th bday nd they start filming it on my BROTHERS bday omg is that sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo weird or WAT!!!!!!

    Ugh, I am so upset! This spring break I visited Italy and I was so excited, hoping I’d be there when they were filming. I missed it by a month :(

    I never ever thought that photos of construction sites and barriers would make me as giddy and as excited as I have been, but “wow”, the green screen at the pool, the mounted camera on Bella’s bedroom window…etc etc and now the set up of Bella’s fountain in Montepulciano. Show of hands We all want to be there right? … We are so disappointed that we can’t right? I still don’t get the only for 5 days of shooting thing is it really enough time? Keep the photos coming please Italia01.

    Anything in Italy is beautiful. From all reports, the critics, etc…this segment of the saga promises to be a really great film. What started as a little idie film has really blossomed into a blockbuster phenomena. Wish I could be there in Italy to see it! Can’t wait to see the trailer on the MTV awards and the movie in theaters in November!

    hi guys.. to evie: yes this is like i had imagined when i read the book! i love italy, i can’t to see the pictures when they’re filming in there.. hopefully in new moon we can have more scenes from the book..
