Posted May 26th, 2010 By: Team Switzerland 2 Comments »

Another day, another award! The Twilight Saga: New Moon was nominated for Best Fantasy at this year’s National Movie Awards (which is held in the UK)…and surprise, surprise: it won! Peter Facinelli was on hand at the event to make a graceful acceptance speech on behalf of himself, his co-stars, and everyone involved in the film. Eclipse also won for “Most Anticipated”, and Robert Pattinson accepted his award for “Performance of the Year” via live video. Watch Rob’s acceptance and read more details below:

It comes as no surprise that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has won best Fantasy film at the National Movie Awards.

Stars of the movie Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have become the most desirable actors in the planet since joining the Twilight cast.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was released on November 20, 2009, in most countries, and set domestic box office records as the biggest midnight screening with $26.3 million.

This led to the biggest single day domestic gross with $72.7 million.

Twi-Hards voted in their thousands for New Moon and are looking forward to the forthcoming release of Eclipse at the start of July.

Peter Facinelli who plays Carlise Cullen, Robert Pattinson’s dad in the movie, accepted the award, thanking British fans for letting the movie borrow Rob. He said: “We promise to return him to you safely.”

Tinsel Korey Talks ‘Eclipse’ and the Wolf Pack

Posted May 25th, 2010 By: Evie No Comments »

MTV caught up with Tinsel Korey recently and got her to spill a little bit about what she thought of Eclipse director David Slade, and why she thinks New Moon should win at the MTV Movie Awards. Check out Tinsel’s interview below:

David Slade (“30 Days of Night”) helmed “Eclipse,” due June 30, and Korey had nothing but kind words for him.

“He’s great. He’s a really different director from Chris Weitz,” Korey told MTV News, comparing Slade to the man who led “New Moon.” “Chris Weitz is an actor’s director, where you focus on all the emotion, whereas David Slade is more technical, so there’s a distance because he’s always thinking about the fuller picture with all the fight scenes.”

Just back from the Cannes Film Festival, where she promoted her independent feature “Stained,” Korey also talked about the scene she’s most excited to see onscreen. While she hasn’t seen the finished third installment, the “wolf pack” creation story, she said, is a “beautiful moment” of storytelling.

With the 2010 MTV Movie Awards set to air June 6, we asked what she thought the chances were that “New Moon” would claim Best Movie over “Avatar” and “The Hangover.” Not surprisingly, Korey said she had no doubt her movie would take the golden popcorn — for one reason in particular.

“Because I’m in it,” she joked. “Just kidding! I prefer it over the CGI stuff. I think ‘Avatar’ was a beautiful movie but I love the love story in ‘Twilight’. “

DragoArt.com is officially awesome and took the time to put together a little tutorial for those who are interested in drawing the tribal design that the members of the wolfpack have tattooed on them, which we see prominently in New Moon. Check out the tattoo again below to refresh your memory, and scroll down to see a preview of the tutorial.

Step 1. Drawing the New Moon tattoo should be easy for you guys because you are not drawing by eye, instead you are getting a step by step tutorial. Start with a large circle and then draw the guidelines in the middle as you see here.

View the full tutorial (with easy, step-by-step directions) here.

Hopefully you remember back when Twilight came out, Starz did a great re-enactment of the film in thirty seconds with bunnies…and the result was hilarious! Well, if you liked that video then you are in luck: Starz is back with yet another 30 second bunny re-enactment, but this time with New Moon, of course! Watch the brand spankin’ new video below:

If you missed out on the Twilight re-enactment (or just want to see it again!), you can watch that here.

I loved this one! I can’t decide if I like the Twilight or New Moon version better, because I think they are both really cute and funny. What did you think of this re-enactment? Which video did you like better – the Twilight or New Moon parody?
