MTV has the honor of debuting the very first teaser poster for the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host. In addition they’re breaking the news that they’ll be going on a set visit to The Host and getting a chance to chat with the film stars as well as Stephenie Meyer herself. Check it all out below:

Yep, you read correctly: This Friday, MTV News will be headed to the seeeeecret secret location where alien parasite love story “The Host” is being filmed, where we’ll be delivering an exclusive behind-the-scenes missive from the set of this hotly anticipated sci-fi romance. And while we’re there, we’ll be chatting it up with Saoirse, Max and Stephenie—getting all the dirty details about how production is going so far, and asking them all your most burning-est questions about the film! Which means that now is your moment to run—RUN!—in the direction of Twitter, and tell us what you want to know using the @mtvnews handle and #MTVHost hashtag!

…Oh, but then come right back, because here comes our exclusive look at the first movie poster. And get ready to be amazed, because there’s a glowing eyeball and ominous message involved! And between all the exclusive goodies coming our way from the studio, plus the hotly anticipated performance of the uber-talented Saoirse in the host/parasite dual role, plus Max Irons and his glorious cheekbones, the fact that “The Host” isn’t coming out for nearly a year will not deter us—or you—from being so excited for this movie that every time we think about it, we make a tiny squealing noise.

See the full story and all of the set visit details over at MTV here.

Thanks Noor!

It’s almost like the early days of Twilight when MTV was the only outlet that was always on the set, talking to the actors. It makes me all nostalgic for the early days of the Twilight Saga movies!

What do you think of the new movie poster for The Host? Are you excited for MTV’s set visit?

New ‘LOL’ Trailer Featuring Ashley Greene

Posted April 11th, 2012 By: Evie 1 Comment »

It’s been a long wait, but there is finally a brand new trailer for Ashley Greene’s new romantic comedy, LOL. Ashley is ironically playing the part of “Ashley” and appears to be the cause of quite a bit of relationship trouble for the main character Lola, played by Miley Cyrus. Check out the new trailer below:

In a world connected by YouTube iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne, “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.

You can see more on the movie over at IMDB here.

Thanks Noor!

This is orginally a French film, so I’m curious to see how it pans out as an American story.

What do you think of the new trailer for LOL?

Thanks to Twilight vef France, we’ve got some fantastic screen shots of a script and some storyboards that were on the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 DVDs, which give us some insight into what we get to see in Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Of course most notably is the famous arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett. Enjoy the storyboard pictures below:

Go see all of the storyboards at Twilight vef France!

Thanks Noor!

In addition to the Bella and Edward cottage scenes, and of course Nessie, I think the arm wrestling scene has got to be one of the most anticipated scenes from the book that we’ve yet to see. Bella and Emmett’s famous stand-off seems to be a favorite scene for a lot of us!

What do you think of these storyboards from Breaking Dawn – Part 2? Are you excited for the arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett?

Chris Weitz Set to Pen Novel Under Little, Brown

Posted April 10th, 2012 By: Evie 2 Comments »

It looks like New Moon director, Chris Weitz, might be taking a little break from the film directing and producing role for a bit. Little, Brown has announced that they have signed Chris to pen a novel, in fact, a trilogy about a post-apocalyptic world. Read more below:

Chris Weitz’ new venture is a novel, The Young World, described as “the first in an epic, post-apocalyptic trilogy” due in Spring 2014.

The story is set in New York City following a catastrophe that kills everyone but teenagers. They must learn to survive in a world with no heat, running water, TV, video games, phones or Internet — and no authority figures. ”These young survivors experience combat, romance, and post-apocalyptic nostalgia for a pop culture and technology they entirely took for granted,” Weitz says.

Read the full story at Deadline Hollywood here.

Thanks Noor!

Go Chris! I think it’s awesome that he’s expanding into writing a novel. I look forward to reading something from such a brilliant mind.

Marlane Barnes Talks ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ and Set Life with Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

Posted April 10th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Irish Central has a great new interview with new vampire, Marlane Barnes, who will be playing Maggie from the Irish Coven in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Marlane chats about how nice Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were on the set and then gives us a little bit of detail on the backstory she imagined for Maggie in Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Read more below:

Barnes also discussed her role as vampire Maggie, a member of the Irish Coven.

“The Irish coven has seen and experienced a lot. Literature speaks to the Irish as a people who have a huge history of enduring and suffering oppression. They are also big on family, so I chose that Maggie had once come from a big family. Even though she doesn’t remember a lot of it, she has a lasting impression that it is something worth fighting for. So, I felt very strongly that she would be committed to helping the Cullen’s stay together and be very suspicious of any peace offering from the Volturi,” said Barnes, who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a Master of Fine Arts in acting.

“I also felt that she was newer to being a vampire than Siobahn and Liam. They had seen and been through even more as a pair. The Irish coven is definitely a brave and resolute group – they do what they came to do and then they make their exit!”

The muli-talented actress says she is also working on a young adult supernatural historical fiction book of her own about a girl in 5th century Ireland.

“The fact that I was cast as an Irish vampire after having already spent a lot of time learning about the culture was pretty amazing! Not to mention that my boyfriend’s family is from Eniskillen, Ireland. I think Ireland and I are not finished yet!” she added.

Fan Video Sunday: I Know I Did It Right

Posted April 8th, 2012 By: LexiconAficionado 2 Comments »

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you a Bella Swan themed video from AntigoniX’s channel and is titled Isabella Marie Cullen || I Know I Did It Right and features Live for What I’d Die For by Jess Mills.

I am so in love with this video! It is such an amazing tribute to the strengths and determination of Isabella Marie Swan Cullen that we all adore throughout Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. She is such a strong character and doesn’t get enough credit. She would do anything for those she love – Edward, her father, the Cullens, her unborn baby; Renesmee, Jacob and the Quileutte tribe and even the town of Forks. She is the most understated warrior who does not need to expound on her strengths since they come to fore when circumstances require them to. And we see that happen time and again throughout the series. She would definitely live for what she’d die for and literally died for what she believed in. Jess Mills’s Live for What I’d Die For seems truly suited for our beloved Bella.

What do you think of the video? Do you think it’s managed to pay proper tribute to Bella?
