Over the last few weeks, the Harry Potter vs. Twilight debates have been at an all-time high. Well today, Novel Novice Twilight is wishing everyone a “Happy Harry Potter Day” and letting the world know that it’s okay to like both series of books. They’ve even created a few great wallpapers for your enjoyment.

Thanks to NNT! I love these wallpapers and I think it’s important for people to realize that they can love both - they don’t have to choose! And I have to add that Half-Blood Prince was amazing!

That is plain awesome! I’m not sure if it’s possible to love both the same way, but yes the competition is ridiculous! I myself am really getting into HP. I hope when Nov 20 comes, those from the “Potterverse” will be happy to greet Twilighters a “Bright New Moon Night”!!! Go Harry!!!

I like both of them. but heres the thing. harry potter is almost over and twilight started last year. it will be off the billboard when harry’s over with. so whose cares. because i lik both. and i’ve been with harry potter from the began and twilight from 2005 so get over it people.
With the fact that they are two different type of mythical beings and two different story lines I don’t see why you can’t love both. I am looking forward to seeing HP the Half-Blood Prince tomorrow night with my sister. We have gone within the first 5 days of every new HP movie and just because I LOVE Twilight also doesn’t mean I don’t get all twitter patted for Harry Potter. Vampires Rock and so do Wizards!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh! Finaly! I love Harry Potter and Twilight just the same, and think that the rivalry is so idiodic. Im so glad that theres also a thing for people who like them both, like team Switzerland. Like team Twi’gwarts or something.
Well said Chelle: I can say I “like” them both, but I have to say Twilight takes me far beyond that. Certain qualities of both franchises are equal and endearing; but……Twilight just has this magnetic draw to me, like I said before, I will always LIKE HP, but I always LOVE Twilight. No rivilary for me, just different levels of adoring a story.
I am still really looking forward to seeing the movie, not opening weekend though, I’ll wait until the crowds thin out some. Like Chelle said I hope the HP fans come out to see the “New Moon” rise.
I just saw HP-HBP and thought it was SO well done. I have to say, I think this was by far the best book to screen movie of all the HP ones. I’ve read all of the books and a few multiple times and loved this movie.
As far as Twilight goes, I LOVE Twilight as well and feel that it is a different escape for me. I too have gone back to re-read these. In fact it’s easier for me to get completely lost in these that it is HP. It gives you the romance that you’re missing in HP. I have to say that the book to screen adaptation of Twilight was disappointing for me. I just feel that Hardwicke didn’t understand the overall theme of the book very well. I have very high hopes for New Moon.
I love both of the series. Harry Potter and Twilight. I just got introduced to Twilight, and Harry Potter I have loved for 8 years. If I had to chose I would chose Harry Potter, but here’s why: I’ve known it longer and I grew up practically living in Harry’s world over my own. He’s my comfort zone and although Twilight is completely amazing, it doesn’t capture me like Harry does. Still when people ask, I ask whats the comparrison? Both are amazing series, and both deserve the fame they get.
Thanks Marianne! My family and I had a HP 1-5 movie marathon this past weekend to gear up for HBP! I’m only on book 2 but I’m sooooo excited to read thru the rest!!! The books are indeed amazing, I love it for different reasons from Twilight. Can’t compare, can’t compete! See, we can love both!!! I say Edward and Harry would have a hell of a time fighting evil side by side!
I have always felt this way. I never understood the ‘you have to choose’ thing. They are both good, and for different reasons. I just saw HBP, and it was excellent. I was very happy, that I at least had HBP to be excited about, until 11/20. And next year, we will have deathly hallows part 1, and eclipse. I can’t wait!!!
Chelle: I did the same thing this weekend, there was a HP marathon on the ABC Family channel they showed HP 1-4 starting Friday evening and played all day Sat. and Sunday, it was nice. I watched them all over the weekend. It was fun, and they had sneak peaks of the HBP through out the different movies.
I think having HBP out now may take my mind off of how far away Nov 20th is. The previews certainly look good and it looks like they are including more of the book in this movie.
I love both Twilight and Harry Potter. I’m a diehard Twilighter AND a Potter lover, and you know what: I can live with it… and pretty weel. I can’t understand why there should be a competition.
I loved the books the same bu I think Harry Potter movies are better (the bugget has something to do with that). I hate to have a favorite on that one though.
I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today. It was far more than amazing. It’s the best Potter movie yet, seriously. Breathetaking. There was action (cool action). It was the funiest of the six movies. Love was in the air (cuter than in the books). I loved seing Harry falling in love with Ginny. They were SO cute togheter. Best movie of the year (but of course I still got to see New Moon).

Don’t understand why they pit HP and Twilight against each other. I love them both and I’m gonna see HBP tomorrow with some of my Twilight-hating friends.
I’m a fan of both Twilight and HP and I genuinely can’t understand why do people keep comparing the two. I mean, true, both have huge fan bases and stuff but people can actually like them both! they aren’t even remotely alike, so what’s the big deal?
and yes, I have seen HBP. as a movie it’s really good, but for a diehard fan of the series like me, it’s a bit disappointing. there are scenes they really didn’t have to change, so why come up with totally unrelated scenes instead of staying true to the book? >
