TWILIGHT’S WEEKEND BOX OFFICE LOWERS TO $69.6 MILLION
Reuters is reporting that the original box office numbers were slightly higher than they actually ended up:
Vampire romance “Twilight” saw its box office tally lowered slightly to $69.6 million from an estimated $70.5 million for its debut in theaters this past weekend, according to final studio figures released on Monday.The film, which is based on author Stephenie Meyer’s books about a teenage girl and her romance with a vampire boy, was the No. 1 movie at U.S. and Canadian box offices, beating James Bond flick “Quantum of Solace” which was No. 2 with final ticket sales of 26.7 million.

The final tally didn’t lower that much. It still made a lot of money for opening weekend. And they usually over estimate anyway, so this doesn’t surprise me. What do you think?
