ROB WINS AWARD FOR “BEST ACTOR IN A FEATURE FILM”

Rob Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in Twilight, was awarded “Best Actor in a Feature Film” for his work in the film “How To Be” at the Strasbourg International Film Festival. Congratulations Rob! the Movie-Fanatic also has a great article about it. Here’s a bit of what they have to say:

 
Even the jurors at Strasbourg International Film Festival seem to agree with my rather generous praise of Robert Pattinson’s performance in How To Be. The young actor just won his first international film award- as Best Actor in a Feature Film!
Pattinson won the award over two other nominees- Michael Madsen for Strength and Honour (representing Ireland) and Ali Atay for Happy New Year London (representing both Turkey and the UK).

I think this is very cool. Does the fact that Rob won an award for his acting ability make you more eager to see his work in Twilight?

    This is such great news! I am SO happy for Rob- he deserves it! oh, and i am absolutely DYING to see How To Be- it makes me so sad that they, like, only show it at film festivals. This doesnt make me want to see Twilight more than i already did, b/c, 1st of all, thats not possible, and 2nd of all, i already knew Rob was super talented, so the fact that he won an award does not change that any. However, it DOES make me want to see How To Be more than i already did- and i already wanted to see it very, VERY badly. Tear. oh well, i can only hope that theyll eventually release it 4 real, what w/all the acclaim its been getting and stuff. anyway, main point of all this is: GO ROB!

    I already had very much wanted to see Twilight – not just because of Rob but because it is Twilihgt! But getting to know more about Rob becasue of Twi makes me really want to see his other work. How to Be sounds great and every since I have seen him in character to play Dali in Little Ashes, I know he must have a really great talent – why else would they have an Englishman playing a Spaniard? He seems to have the ability to transfor himself – from a school boy to immortal vampire to a Spainish genius/artist so I’m sure this movie will be great!
