STEPHENIEMEYER.COM: FIRST LOOK AT TWILIGHT EDITION OF USA WEEKEND

As we’ve been telling you, USA Weekend Magazine is updating their signature blue and white logo this weekend in honor of Twilight. Seth has updated Stephenie Meyer’s official website with an exclusive first look at the upcoming issue. He’s also given us an update on the sales of the Twilight soundtrack!

Here’s what Seth had to say:

USA Weekend Magazine has given us the exclusive first look at their Twilight cover for this weekend (its November 14-16 issue). USA WEEKEND will also feature an exclusive Twilight poster inside. Click here to see which local paper in your area carries USA Weekend.

Also, I have been forwarded the following news from Atlantic Records (the company that produced the soundtrack):

“Twilight Soundtrack is #1!

It has been confirmed today that the Twilight Soundtrack is the #1 most-selling album this week in the U.S. according to Billboard! This is a huge feat for a soundtrack BEFORE the movie has even been released, and really goes to show the passion and dedication of all you Twi-hards out there. So a huge thanks to everyone who picked up a copy, we hope you are loving it!”

The cover looks great! I think it’s such a huge honor that they’ve decided to dedicate a whole cover to Twilight. I’ll make sure I pick this issue up!

    YEAH! I subscribed to USA today so I’m excited!!! Anywho…so I’m surprised Seth didn’t mention it…what does the feather mean? Since we know there is a significance to EVERY Twilight cover I know there’s one to this one, so what does it mean?

    OH! NVM! I got it! It was literally staring at me in the face. In the bottom of it it says, “Bella and her vampire ‘angel,’ Edward start in our..” I can’t make out the rest. It suppossed represent, according to the Vanity Fair review from earlier, “Edward’s fallen angel allure,” from the owl wing behind him in biology class. He REALLY is an angel, i tell you.

    I didn’t realize every cover had a deeper meaning :lol
    I thought it was just twilight and breaking dawn.
    Did Stephanie ever explain the leaves in new moon and the ribbon on the eclipse cover?

    i was really surprised (& excited) to see that the cover was a reference to the BOOKS instead of the movie for once. as much as i love the actors & think that the movie is going to rock my socks off, it’s nice to see that this magazine knows where it all started…

    Yeah, I always was confused by the ribbon shredding and the bloody flower. IM PSYCHED! THE SOUND TRACK IS NUMBER 1! SERIOUSLY, WE ROCK AS A FAN BASE, DONT WE!

    The eclipse cover represents that you can never make a clean break. Hense the shredded ribbon the flower on New Moon Stephenie didn’t even know what it meant, as per her website. It’s a ruffled tulip, but I think it represents Bella maybe, I don’t know I got to find out.
