STEPHENIE SATURDAY: ‘BREAKING DAWN’ - WHY THE NAME RENESMEE?
Happy Saturday! We’re back again this week with yet another edition of Stephenie Saturday and today we’re covering a very highly talked about subject. Since we’re covering a topic from Breaking Dawn, don’t read any further if you’re trying to avoid spoilers. So, onto today’s topic: there were several twists and turns in Breaking Dawn that most of us never expected, but one I can say we all never expected was the name of Edward and Bella’s child. Renesmee is definitely a unique name and inevitably some love it while some don’t. So, why didn’t Stephenie feel the need to choose a standard name like Jennifer or Ashley? We have the answer for you in today’s edition of Stephenie Saturday. As always, we’ve added some questions for consideration at the end so we can get your thoughts on the topic.
So for this week’s edition of Stephenie Saturday, TA Staffer Valerie brings us the answer to the following question: Why the name Renesmee?

I agree with Stephenie, you need a special name for a special child. Renesmee is indeed special for half vamp/half human child.
I also agree it is a special name. I named my daughter Renesmee because I love the meaning (reborn and loved) She was reciently born and her birthday is three days before the two year date of my mother-in-law passing away. It is a very abnormal name is one reason why I love it and there meaning to it that fits .
