STEPHENIE SATURDAY: ‘NEW MOON’ EXTRA – ‘MISCALCULATION’

Posted April 11th, 2009 By: Team Switzerland 4 Comments »

This week for Stephenie Saturday, we have a cool little extra from the second book in the Twilight saga, New Moon. This extra was written by Stephenie Meyer for what she describes as a “practical joke”. Stephenie wrote the extra and entered it into a Twilight fan fiction contest to see if her entry and writing style would stand out from the others. So, what ended up happening? Well Stephenie’s entry ended up getting lost out there in the web, but Twilighters benefitted from the deal by getting a great extra!

So this week, brought to you by TA Staffer Claire, we have the New Moon extra titled ‘Miscalulation’, which is written in the perspective of Rosalie. As always, we’ve added some thought provoking questions at the end for you to respond to.

Seeing things from Rosalie’s point of view is way different. I would prefer it more if it was in Edward’s, though. Rosalie is too spoiled and selfish. I would get annoyed and bored seeing the rest of the story from her point of view. Although, I must say it was interesting to see how she felt about Edward and Bella.

Oh My Gosh, I so hope they use this scene. This is what I am talking about. It’s just an ideal scene to play out between Rosalie and Alice. I also think its something that Nikki and Ashley could sink their teeth into and make it work. I would Love love LOVE to see this incorporated into the scene just so that I could here Alice stick it to Rosalie about her not thinking. Mint. 100% mint!
