STEPHENIE SATURDAY: TWILIGHT OUTTAKE – ‘EMMETT AND THE BEAR”

Last Saturday, we introduced you to new Fun Facts feature we like to call ‘Stephenie Saturdays’! Each Saturday, courtesy of one of our lovely TA staffers Claire, we will post one of the FAQ’s about the series which ‘Twilight’ author Stephenie Meyer has answered herself, or an outtake that Stephenie wrote for one of the books, but ended up taking out. We would love to hear your thoughts on the outtake, so questions will be included at the end of each entry to get you to rack your brain and think a little harder!

This week, we offer ‘Emmett and the Bear’, a scene that Stephenie Meyer wrote for ‘Twilight’, but was cut from the original epilogue.

    I wouldn’t think that Edward would have the ability to hit Emmett that hard, since he is so careful and loving with Bella. I liked the scene, but enjoyed the book version better. But anything Twilight, I love!! I can’t get enough!

    I enjoyed it – it would have been nice if it was included because it shows a bit more of Bella & Emmett’s friendship/kinship

    It was breathtaking. Oh,every time I think about Edward, my heart aches.
    Its like my souls been ripped out because I know I can never have him.
    So what do I think?…
    I loved it with every fibre of my being!

    I loved this outtake. I thought it was hilarious that Edward could/would hit Emmett that hard. I was also amazed that Emmett didn’t care!

    I really enjoyed Emmett reminiscencing about his creation. The more I read the stories, the more I like Emmett. Even with his size and strength, he is a sweetheart. I just wish he had a nicer partner.

    I loved reading this. I wish it was in the book, but oh well at least SM has provided for our reading enjoyment!

    Creamy I agree w/you. I love Emmett he is awesome. (It doesn’t hurt that Kellan Lutz is a hottie! So it makes the movie Emmett awesome & hot!)

    I love him!! Kellan Lutz isnt so bd either-ahaha
    on and off set Emmet is funny. I just luv him!!
    of course i would’ve wanted this yo stay in twilight!!
    i would’ve loved it!!
