A big congratulations to everyone involved with creating the awesome Twilight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack! The Grammy nomination is fantastic and also well-deserved. It is an honor to have such talented artists and bands contributing to the Twilight film. Congrats also to Alex Patsavas for doing such an inspired job of bringing them all together.

Thanks,

Stephenie

    It’s well deserved.

I know a LOT of people didn’t enjoy this soundtrack but I listen to it almost daily (despite my girls groans…). The ONLY tract I skip through? The Editors song. Blech.

I think the soundtrack didn’t do well with fans because most of the fans are teenagers who listen to top 40. I enjoy independent artists so this soundtrack to me is phenomenal! I listen to it daily in my car. The song I skip is Solar Midnite. My fav is between the Grizzly Bear song, slow life and Bon Iver and St.Vincent’s, Roslyn. I only hope the Eclipse’s soundtrack stays clear of the top 40 sound.

Carriedenise, I must correct you there. From what I’ve seen of the fanbase, it is more of the new fans who became aware of the books through the twilight movie (and the hot guys in it) that are into all the Pop, Top 40, chart music than the people who became fans of the books before the movie. It is undeniable that the movies made the books a lot more main stream and have therefore introduced a lot more main stream fans :)

    xXx
