STEPHENIE MEYER.COM UPDATE: TWILIGHT DVD PARTY NEWS/CAST APPEARANCES

Seth has updated Stephenie Meyer’s official website once again, and this time with some exciting news! Sure, we’ve all known for weeks about the numerous DVD release parties being held at locations all around the US, but now we learn some exciting news about those parties. Read below for more details:

 
TWILIGHT at MIDNIGHT : 03-20-09

On Friday, March 20, 2009, from 10PM until 12 midnight, Summit Home Entertainment and retailers across the country will provide TWILIGHT fans with the chance to celebrate the midnight DVD release of the film that has unanimously been described as a “full-blown pop culture phenomenon.” Participating retailers will stay open late as fans line up to purchase the DVD of the epic romance at midnight parties. While there, contests, autographed merchandise raffles, giveaways, limited edition merchandise including collectable clothing and memorabilia will all be available!

In addition, TWILIGHT actors and filmmakers will be making surprise appearances at select locations throughout the country!

I’m already excited to go to a DVD release party, but now I’m even more excited at the prospect of a Twilight actor or filmmaker making an appearance at the party! I can’t wait to see pictures from the parties they attend – bring your cameras everyone!

    Really want to go but don’t know if any of my friends would go with me.
    There’s 5 of them in my area.
    Anybody know what kind of merchandise Wal Mart is supposed to have? i have been to 2 stores – one in Ohio and 1 in WV – and neither one had a Twilight display-the displays were supposed to be up a week before the DVD??? If it’s on this site, someone let me know where the tread is-thanks!

    i was at a walmart in kentucky yesterday and they had books on and end cap and then lots of t-shirts of $ 10.00 each…in the womens section…

    Somehow I was able to convince my non-twilight fan to come with me to the DVD release party this friday instead of going alone! I am so excited to have someone to go with!!! If someone is at my store on top of it, I’d be thrilled!

    Walmart is selling Junior size t-shirts, the new directors notebook, the books in paperback and some hardcover, and the calendars along with posters and the soundtrack….l myself will be going to one of the parties at hot topic, but l wish l had someone to go with..

    New Moon is being filmed in Vancouver right now and forks wa is about 3-4 hours away from vancouver… i’m going to huge release in forks… i bet the stars are gonna show up for the forks addition

    Me and a bunch of my friends that love Twilight are going to one in Lucedale, MS!! But unfortunately we live so far down south I highly doubt that a cast member would show up even though it would be a great location for them because they wouldn’t be hounded as much as in some other major cities lol so sad for us!!!! :’(

    I am thinking about going to a Walmart one near my home in Michigan. But I already preordered it at Blockbuster so I dunno. I really dont wanna go alone and I dont think that I can get the hubby to go with. Or get the best friends hubby to let her out to go. Who knows.

    I’ve had it marked on my calendar since they anounced it. I can’t wait! At the same time I’m bumbed out cause I’m positive no Twilight actor or filmmaker will show up at the midnight release party I’m going to because it’s a small town in Massachusets that no one knows about. Take your cameras everyone so that I can atleast see the Twilight cast in pics!

    Me too! I already had it marked on my calender for the release, but I had pre-ordered it from Best Buy, which I do not know they will have a party. On the other hand, Hot Topic (across the parking lot of BB at the Westminster Mall) they are having a midnight party too! I wonder if the Borders will have one. On top of that, there are two Walmarts that are having release parties…I hope I will be able to escape because my bf’s sister’s wedding anniversary is on the same day! ARGH!!! We will just drive separately! ;D Have fun everyone! I need a Twi-Shirt! Yes, cameras! You never know! hmmm? Isn’t Cam in Russia?

    Good luck to everyone…i can’t bring my camera because i’m italian and this chance is only for united states members… =( i’m so sad for this because the film will be filmed in Italy and i live near Volterra…i take only about 2 hours to go there…sigh…

    I purchased one for me and one for my daughter because we both wanted our own stuff. It would be nice to get to see an actor….pretty cool stuff…BUT im broke so no money to buy any of the xtras i may see and want there like a lunch box…ggggrrrrrr Anyway Im addicted and looking forward to the experiance….Pcola fl would be a GREAT place for him to go ….HINT HINT

    My Walmart has t shirts in the Jr dept and mens $10 a piece and i saw a door size poster by the movies section for $6.97 and that’s it. They are postponing their midnight party though because the supplies did not come in. I asked so if you don’t see anything you might want to ask if your intested in the midnight parties. Would be awful to show up and there is nothing going on.

    I’m going a Walmart in Michigan. Kinda bummed about FYE, they aren’t having a party until Saturday morning….. I’m hoping that Taylor Lautner will come to a Mi party since he grew up here :D

    I seriously doubt any actors will be at the Hot Topic is po-dunk San Angelo, TX. If one showed up I would be highly surprised. It would be awesome though!

    I live in Seattle, and might pop in at Borders. It’d make sense if cast members were here, since they’ve been in Vancouver, and Vancouver is so close!

    I will be at the Walmart In Florence, KY…………I don’t think any of the cast members will come to Kentucky, its a boring place but if one of them should come lets hope it is the one that I hope it will be…….LOL
