This week’s TA Follows the Stars is all about Ashley and Taylor.
On Thursday, Ashley was at the 8th Annual Awards Season Diamond Fashion Show Preview in Beverly Hills. From JustJared:
The 22-year-old actress also made an appearance at the Pre-Golden Globes Gifting Lounge at the Peninsula Hotel, also in Beverly Hills.Ashley was asked about the rumors that Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater in the upcoming New Moon. She shares with Extra, “Really? Did she have to audition? She’d be good. I’ve never met her, but I think she’s adorable so yea, I’d be stoked.”
Ashley was at the Golden Globes viewing party, Instyle.com reports:
“It looks like there’s a thousand diamonds hanging from the ceiling!” says Ashley Greene (in Nicole Miller) of the glamorous decor. The Twilight star sat next to Garcelle Beauvais (in Tracy Reese), who was thrilled to be there. “It’s all about glamour and seeing your friends!”

Taylor Lautner was taking a stroll in Beverly Hills, X17 reports:
Taylor Lautner seemed happily surprised with all the pap attention he got in Beverly Hills the other day.
Taylor teamed up with Vanessa Hudgens to accept a check from CVS Pharmacy for $100,000 made payable to the Lollipop Theater Network. Pictures from Celebrity Gossip
They’re two of the hottest young stars, and earlier today (January 10) Vanessa Hudgens teamed up with Taylor Lautner at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.Joining the “High School Musical” sweetheart and the “Twilight” hunk were TV Personality Nancy O’Dell and Maureen McCormick, all out enjoying the CVS Pharmacy Reinventing Beauty Bar “Stuff You Must…” Lounge as part of the Golden Globes celebrations.
There for a reason, Vanessa and friends accepted a check from CVS Pharmacy for $100,000 made payable to the Lollipop Theater Network.
Truly a good cause, Lollipop is “a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the magic of movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals nationwide due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses.”

Wow, Taylor and Ashley have been busy. Taylor looks smashing and Ashley adorable. Taylor and Vanessa Hudgens was quite surprising though. What do you think of Taylor and Vanessa teaming up for a good cause?

That seems like too much of a coincidence…all of a sudden Taylor and Vanessa are teamed up, just after Ashley told someone that Vanessa would be great in the part, right after MTV reported Vanessa had auditioned? Either she’s got the part, and the studio is trying to get us to accept her as part of them, or she has the same agent as Taylor, and the agent will try to keep putting her in front of us with Twilight cast memebers. Either way, I’m not falling for it.
I agree with you, Susan. I’m just hoping that it’s that they both have the same agent, cuz I DO NOT want her in New Moon.
I agree with Susan, I am not buying it. I still don’t want her in NM or any other Twilight series movie. Sorry VH, but I jsut don’t think she has it to be Leah.

I wonder how many other Twilight fans feel sick at the thought of Vanessa being cast? It makes me worry that Chris doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. Ashley’s suppot of Vanessa gives me a more negative impression of her now. Weird.
If Stephanie supports Vanessa being cast will everyone suddenly be for her? Not me.

I agree with Susan also, I really hope Vanessa is not cast in New Moon, she does a good job with High School Musical but she’s just not intense enough in my opinion to play leah. I see her as sweet, teeny bopper, sing/dance with your cute little boyfriend thing.. It’s just not my picture of leah and I could see myself watching New Moon and probably wanting to fall asleep if she was leah…….

Yeah, it does seem weird that she’s with Taylor all the time. I kinda think she might be ok for the part, but then again I don’t think Twilight should have an actress like her in it.
I agree with Susan also. I really DO NOT want to see her in ANY Twilight Movie! VH does not have what it takes to dedicate to the role of Leah.
I also agree with Susan I dont want her in New Moon shes know for her sweet and nice role of gabriella montez from HSM and she wont bring what the character needs leahs more of a harder character VH is just too soft I think
Vanessa is ok… i pictured Leah something like her but she really does not have what it takes to be Leah. Srry Vanessa, you being in the movie might not attract people to New Moon. If they dont get enough for new moon then we wont get Eclipse or Breaking Dawn. Plz keep the series goin!
TO MUCH TAYLOR… I WANT 2 SEE MORE ROB AND KRISTIEN…..WHERE ARE THEY? THEY ARE HIDING FROM THE PUBLIC EYE? MAYBE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE 2 MAIN STARS OF TWILIGHT…BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO TWILIGHT WITHOUT THEM….AND O I LOVE ASHLEY
Uggghhh, you guys, I just got all excited hearing that her auditioning was a rumor, now I get to this story and hear she’s photo-opping with Taylor for some charitable event. Susan sounds like she’s got some inside skinny on this - Who do you know Susan? I don’t want her for Leah, her voice is too high pitched - she could be Mickey Mouse or Minnie at least - I pictured Leah - not Butchy but more street-saavy with a more human sounding voice.
Oh by the way, love the sparkles and Glam - Of course Ashley should be there sparkling, she is Alice!!!! Do you think they got to try any of those on? Me so Jealous!!!
I honestly dont know why everyones making such a big fuss about Vanessa maybe being in Twilight. I mean, you guys all say that “shes too bubbly” or “shes gonna start singing during the movie” or something like that. Its just acting!! In HSM she had to “act” bubbly and happy and sing! It was a musical! And if she does get the part for Leah, then she’ll just have to act like Leah does! And besides, didnt everyone do this when Rob was cast? I mean seriously guys, give her a chance! Im all for Vanessa playing Leah. Cuz frankly I dont care. As long as Taylor stays Jacob and the main cast stays the same, I dont care who they cast for the new characters. Oh and btw, Taylor is freaken SEXY with his new muscles!!^.^
i so don’t want vanessa no not as leah i mean she got HSM and should stay with that and the picture on the internet scandal Leah’s character needs more someone of skills not just sing it is a moive not a musical after no offens .

I think they both are good people, but I don’t think you should put them together. Cause you know that sometimes the media twists some things.
