Ashley Greene for InStyle Russia

Ashley Greene, who covers September 2010 edition of InStyle Russia, also says Marilyn Monro and Audrey Hepburn are style and femininity icons for her. And she wants to look like them. The 23-year-old star graces two covers and a number of pictures. She looks romantic and sincere and gives a frank interview about her fashion choices, love to Jonny Depp and envy to Olga Kurilenko. The renowned stylist, Keiko Hiramoto, says working with Ashley is easy and pleasant because she isn’t afraid of experiments and trusts professionals.

Nikki Reed joins the Minneapolis and Chicago Twilight Conventions

One of the fan’s favorite Twilight Saga stars, the lovely Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), joins The Official TWILIGHT Convention Tour with her appearances in Minneapolis (September 3-5, 2010) and Chicago (September 10-12, 2010).

In Minneapolis Nikki joins already announced celebrities Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), Christopher Heyerdahl (Volturi Leader Marcus), Michael Welch (Mike Newton), Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater), Booboo Stewart (Seth Clearwater) and Jodelle Ferland (Bree). This is going to be an outrageous weekend of fun!

In Chicago, a true hotbed of Twilight fandom, Nikki will be joined by her co-stars Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen), Alex Meraz (Paul), Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), Michael Welch (Mike Newton) and Jodelle Ferland (Bree). Another fantastic convention awaits fans attending this gathering.

Happy Sunday! If you can’t get enough of the Twilight Saga cast and crew then you’re in luck because we have a short, but sweet update today with news on director David Slade and actor Jackson Rathbone.

According to Collider, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse director David Slade is the frontrunner to direct Wolverine 2. Details below:

It looks like one of two directors is going to be taking Wolverine to Japan. Vulture reports that the contenders to helm Wolverine 2 are David Slade (Hard Candy, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler’s Wife, the upcoming Bruce Willis action flick Red). While both men have been approved by 20th Century Fox brass, the decision comes down to Hugh Jackman, and Vulture says he’s going to choose Slade.

Nikki Reed admits to understanding Bieber Fever

“The excitement and passion in his eyes and his voice, this little tiny kid holding this big huge guitar … he’s singing, his voice penetrates into the world,” Nikki said. “People across the street were listening, it’s truly incredible. He’s a talented kid.”

“He’s got a very specific look and style thing that he’s going for. I didn’t understand or connect with that [at first], just like the Jonas Brothers, but I’m starting to get it with the Biebs.”

Taylor meets the Pittsburgh Steelers

Taylor Lautner, who starred in the “Twilight” series and is in Pittsburgh filming “Abduction,” enjoyed his time on the field, talking with Steelers players, coaches and even saying hi to some excited young fans.

Lautner, who told me you can’t help but get the feel for Steelers-mania as soon as you arrive in Pittsburgh, really got a feel for it at Heinz Field and soaked it all in. Among the players Lautner met were Hines Ward, Ryan Clark and Dan Sepulveda. Sepulveda told Lautner that people come up to him all of the time and tell him that he looks like him. Lautner agreed. For all of the “Team Jacob” fans out there, the good news is Lautner is extremely nice and sincere.

Michael Sheen fights to save the Gwent Theatre

THE board of directors at a closure-threatened schools theatre company will be forced lay off more than 30 workers, unless an appeal is successful. Artistic director of Gwent Theatre, Gary Meredith said if funding is not found notices will be issued by the end of September and the theatre faces closure in December. It follows the Arts Council of Wales’ decision to withdraw annual funding of £250,000. The Abergavenny-based organisation works with 20,000 youngsters a year and its Youth Service puts on six productions and more than 300 in schools using around 30 freelance professionals including actors, writers and designers.

Newport-born actor and Hollywood star Michael Sheen, OBE has pledged his support after hearing about the funding cuts. Mr Sheen voiced his support in an email to Mr Meredith saying he was saddened by the news, adding that it is a brutal time for the arts across Wales and the UK with the axing of the Film Council. “It is going to be a real uphill battle, I fear,” he said. Mr Sheen also asked what he could do to help the campaign.
His plea to secure the theatre’s future follows an open letter from his cousin Caroline Sheen, an actress and former member, last week.
