‘Eclipse’ Press Conference and Panel Quotes at the LA ‘Twilight’ Covention
We’re going to be bringing you coverage all weekend from the huge press events at the LA Official Twilight Convention and the official press junket and conferences for Eclipse. Not only will we be bringing you news and video from all the big news sources, but we have our very own Kara (Team Switzerland) at the Official Twilight Convention and she is tweeting live!
First up today was a large press conference for Eclipse where first Taylor Lautner, than Kristen Stewart and finally Rob Pattinson took questions from the press. HitFix was at the scene live blogging, and below you can find quotes to all three stars plus links to their entire Q&A sessions. Taylor Lautner
10:40 a.m. Taylor gets to work with Robert Pattison more in this movie. “Usually I have to hate him in the scenes and it’s difficult. He’s such a funny nice guy,” Taylor says. Awww… “As soon as they call cut, we just bust out laughing,” he says.
10:41 a.m. The tent scene is his favorite scene he got to do with Rob.
10:41 a.m. Even Taylor is amused by his frequent shirtlessness. “Those are the awkward scenes, where everybody is fully closed and it’s raining and I’m waiting there, the only person just posing there.”

Kristen Stewart
11:10 a.m. “I just stand behind people who are stronger than me for the entire movie,” Kristen says of the action responsibilities in this movie. She says that her hardest scene was the one where she got to kiss Jacob for the first time, but not for physical reasons. “It was a different Bella,” she says, adding, “And I was nervous as hell about it.” She calls The Kiss, “a mistake” that Bella makes.
11:10 a.m. “I think if you took all of the mythical aspects away from the story, it would still stand as a really strong, interesting thing to be a part of,” Kristen insists. “I don’t think it’s a big phenomenon because of the vampire mythical aspect,” she insists, saying the appeal is about the strength of the characters and the choices she makes, though she acknowledges the vampire stuff makes it “cooler.”
11:25 a.m. The “Breaking Dawn” shoot is going to be six months, starting in October, Kristen says. She says she’s known that it was going to be two movies “forever” and she admits it’s been hard to keep that “secret.”

Rob Pattinson
12:05 p.m. Does Rob read his own fan sites? Does he have favorites? “It’s kind of incredible the information they get so quickly. Some of them I check them just to see what my schedule is. I go to them on weekends when I can’t get through to my agency,” he cracks.
12:15 p.m. Rob hasn’t read “Breaking Dawn” yet. “I’ve just heard brief rumors about what happens in the story,” he says.
12:16 p.m. He says the contact lenses are what lets him get into the spirit of Edward. The contacts are uncomfortable and he says, “That’s what creates the pouting, brooding character.”
12:19 p.m. Was it hard for Rob and Taylor to keep straight faces during The Tent scene? That scene was, apparently, reshot. The first time, he apparently got claustrophobic and antsy and Kirsten sensed his agitation and tried to crack him up to loosen him up. “We got like literally one take where we got it right,” Rob recalls.
