TEEN VOGUE: KRISTEN STEWART IS #1 BEST DRESSED FOR MAY 2009

Ummmm, I can understand the whole injured ankle/shoe choice thing… but I’m thinking she could’ve dressed down a little more. I mean, everyone could tell that this wasn’t a Tony/Emmy/Oscar type event. I think she could’ve gotten away with the dressed-down look and probably still snagged a “Best Dressed” award. I’m not a huge fan of her style but she can usually rock a little oddly-patterned dress with some heels (even with those scrawny little legs)… hahahaha! Anyway, I’m not seeing the “Best Dressed” with this little number. Sorry.

I LOVED her outfit! I agree 100% that she deserved to make the top spot for teen vogue’s best dressed for May 2009 list. I agree that her shoes were awesome I don’t really get why people didn’t like them. I loveeee her style of clothing!! She has the best taste in clothes and i love her so much! If another Twilight cast member could have been on the Best Dressed for May 2009, It would have been Ashley Greene.So that is my opinion on Kristen Stewart!

I think she has great style.

She wears the best sexy, edgy dresses to events and even manages to make her casual stlye HER OWN.

It really all comes down to that. She owns her style, it’s original and I find it comical when anyone gets their panties in a twist over things she decides to wear or do.

I was surprised when I first saw the shoe choice. I looked at it for a bit and loved it.

Time and again, the thing I love most about Kristen is her strength. She is from the inside out an individual. She bucks trends and pressure to fit the mold. Not to mention she has great fashion taste.

When I was a teen (prehistoric times) I never fit the mold. Even with my mother pushing for all she was worth, I followed my own style. I have never been within ten miles of a red carpet, but, every teen who slogs their way through high school feels the pressure to conform. I have never regretted being the odd one out. I am so happy to see that Kristen follows HER heart and no one else’s.

She’s such a pretty girl that it’s hard for her to look bad but she really needs to be aware of her body type. I think that’s something she doesn’t pay much attention to. Her legs are very skinny which is a good thing in most cases but she doesn’t have any muscle tone so if I were her I wouldn’t wear something so short, and if I did high heels would be a necessity to give my legs an extra oomph. Another reason why I think she isn’t aware of her body type is the kind of jeans she wears. We always see her out and about in those low cut, super tight, straight leg jeans and they just make her body look lanky. She did a movie, Cutlass, directed by Kate Hudson and she played a character from the 70s and she wore these huge bell bottom jeans, of course thats a little drastic, but she looked amazing. They complemented her body so much more than those we’ve seen her in lately. Sorry this is off topic but no one really ever talks about her clothing without it seeming shallow so this just seemed like the only place to mention it. But, like I said, shes gorgeous so it’s tough for her to get something completely wrong. I understand the #1 spot. Go Kris!

Definitely a thumbs up on Kristens outfit. The shoes cracked me – first her ankle – so she wears something supportive. She’s not really all about being “correct” as far as her wardrobe goes, or anything else for that matter. She’s truly herself and I love her for it. Even being WAY older than her – I’m strengthened by her individuality.

kristen looked beautiful at the awards show(at any of the Twilight functions really),she can pull off outfits alot of people only wish to do! Her eyes are the angle! No matter makeup or not this girl shines.I like that my girls look up to her.She is matured,intelligent and funny,she doesn’t go into the typical hollywood mold,I like that.Ashley Greene looked very beautiful too,I am surprised she didn’t make it in as well.

I too was a willful child/teen(years ago) and I love it! Kristen does dress for herself and no one else, which is how it should be. It was much easier watching Kristen navigate the stairs and the stage than it was watching Miley Cyrus clomping around like she was playing dress up with her grannies shoes and dress on. I am not making fun of her( I don’t like to do that ) but it sure looked like she had a hard time trying to walk in those shoes and the dress …..well… she’s a teen and that look too mature (older style) for the MTV awards. Sorry, my bad.

Her fashion taste is just so weird but somehow, I approved of the way she dress. rather unique as compared to ubiquitious branded dresses and outfits wore by other celebrities.

Loved the dress! At first, I was surprised by the Converse, then I read she’s sprained her ankly (probably running in and out of that fountain in Italy) so in that case, the Converse made sense. Kristen is so cool, even when she’s dropping awards, I think we need to invent a new word just for her.
I really think Ashley Greene looked fantastic-maybe a little over-dressed for this event-but she deserves recognition too! I was so ticked when that idiot that did the red carpet interviewing on the internet didn’t even know who she was. Hopefully, after New Moon, everybody will remember her name.

I love kristen to death, but i hate the dresses she wears to these big functions. I have to agree with Marielle about not paying attention to her body type. The dress was…. odd, but what really ruined it was that it wasn’t cut for her body. I think she’s fine sticking with jeans.

I love Kristen’s tom-boy look, when I saw her shoes I had to smile to myself, and thought that is so Kristen, it’s suits her and that’s her style…it was after all the MTV Movie Awards not the Oscars were one expects more of the dressing up thing….and I bet she did not wake up the next day with sore feet after squeezing herself into high heels…
Sometimes people forget that some of these kids are only, 17, 18, 19, 20,etc… trying to find their individuality , I am glad they dress young and funky, grungy, tom-boyish etc, I love it, let them experiment, as long as they feel comfortable, does it really matter ?
Kristen, Ashley, Nikki, all look gorgeous and have their own styles.
Rob loves the hoddie , messy hair, unshaven look, the shirt always needs an iron look, but hey, how sexy is that???…mmm . But he also looks great in a suit, remember the Oscars and Cannes…??
Taylor has that clean boy next door look, always cute, he also looked gorgeous at the MTV Awards…

I lvoed her utift I lvoe kristne and I lvoe ehr sytele. I’m so glad she made it. i love her dress i even drew a picuter of her in it, becase i loved it so much. it is so my style i wish i had that dress i woled whare it all the time.

I think she looked a hot mess. She looked like she was high on something too. I do like her , but she was a little weird that night.

I didn’t love the ensemble. The dress was mediocre and the shoes…eh, I know her ankle was sprained, but some cute ballet flats could have worked nicely too.

Her outfit wasn’t awful… it just wasn’t very flattering to HER. In fact, it was UNflattering.

She looked like she had no curves at all… and that included her legs.

She should really be more mindful of what’s going to enhance her best features and detract from her worse. (This outfit was not it.)

The best part about her “look” at the MTV Awards was not her overdone makeup or the belted dress that made her look like a stick, it was her hair. She may still have extensions from her New Moon shoot, but the long hair, full and a little messy, looked great on her.

These celebrity outfits just get more and more ridiculous. How on earth did she win best dressed? Personally, I like Ashley Greene’s style better, but maybe that’s only because she’s Alice. I like some of Kristen’s outfits, but this was definitely not one of them.

The outfit is totally not flattering, but the very fact she had the guts to appear in that outfit made her looked extra unique. Personally, though, I won’t go out my room with that on to MTV awards. I’d rather be in my Cherokee uniforms and go work. Nonetheless, Kirsten, congrats for taking the first spot.
