THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER: ‘ECLIPSE’ LANDS ANOTHER CAST MEMBER
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Eclipse movie has landed another cast member. This time, Jack Huston joins the cast in the role of Royce King II. Read more below:
Jack Huston has fanged his way on to Summit Entertainment’s threequel “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.”The actor joins Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Bryce Dallas Howard in the third installment of the vampire series derived from Stephenie Meyer’s novels. Huston will play Royce King II, a human that lived during the Great Depression.
Production begins shortly in Vancouver under the direction of David Slade (”30 Days of Night”). Its scheduled for a June 30 release.
Huston, repped by ICM, the Collective and U.K.-based Finch & Partners, stars on the ABC series “Eastwick,” which debuts next month. He next appears in the features “Boogie Woogie” and “Mr. Nice,” and he appeared in “Shrink,” which recently opened in limited release.

As always, it’s safe to wait for an official word from Summit before we take this as confirmed news, but The Hollywood Reporter tends to be pretty reliable and they have been correct with casting news in the past, such as Xavier Samuel’s casting in Eclipse.

I think if he cuts his hair and shaves that stache, he could definitely be very goodlooking. He even looks a tinge sketchy in this pic, with the facial hair/long hair, which is perfect for Royce, since he was good looking, yet clearly had a bad side to him.

Wow, he def look appropriately sleazy to play Royce. Such a large cast, all so beautiful and they’re expanding. I’m going through withdrawals waiting for set updates from Vancouver.
He looks good for Royce. With that kind of a bad guy look.

I think his obviously good lookin`, but its not that he doesn’t look like Royce or something because theres always make up and hair dying, but its like Rosalie is suppose to outshine everything, and I think that they’ll look more like a perfect couple rather then the image S.M gave them as. But will just have to see.
The face is defintely what I pictured to be Royce. He looks like an asshole…no offense…

Hmm, he looks like Johnny Depp to me. Since this photo is not the “finished product” I’m sure he’ll be turned into the dapper sleaze Royce is. Kind of creeps me out. Perfect for D Slade…

Ugh! I think he fits the part of Royce. It will be very interesting to see how they transform him. That part in the book really gave me the creeps too. Wonder how it will affect me in the movie. Cannot wait to see Rosalie/Nikki KILL him!!!It is great they are doing the flashbacks!!!
HHMMM, I noticed in the article they stated “the actor joins Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Bryce Dallas Howard in the third installment” uhhummm, why does she get the top billing instead of the usual Taylor Lautner??? She doesn’t have a leading role. I know I’m being pickie but I’m still bummed.
Chris, he does resemble Johnny Depp, when reading the book for some reason I pictured him as a blonde, anyway I’m really glad they are going into Rosalie’s backstory, maybe Eclipse will be a nice long 3 hour movie.

LOL! Poor guy, he just joined the cast and he’s already a sleazeball! I put the same comment in the forum, he has that trouble look, but that might make him a good fit for Royce! I always pictured Royce a blond too, but there’s always hair dye, and clean haircut and shaven face. I’m just happy this is a confirmation that they included Rosalie’s story, I was so looking forward to that, more Nikki, yay!!!
Oh, man!! I couldn’t have picked a better one!!! This guy is EXACTLY how I pictured Royce King II! I even love the longer hair, the scruffy face for the part… I mean, Royce is a d-head. It’s a shame this guy has to be exposed in the Twilight world as this but it’ll bring in so many possibilities of roles later on.
I think he’ll make a good Royce…he looks like a sleazeball! However, I too always pictured Royce as a blond. Probably because Rosalie says that she could picture her own “fair haired children” playing on the Kings lawn.

Definitely not how I imagined my Royce…mine was alot less muscley and blonde which was short.
Perfect casting. I would look at him sideways too… He’s handsome yet you can feel that danger off him.
