THE TWILIGHT QUILTERS COVEN: THE TWILIGHT QUILT
The Twilight Quilters Coven are a group of nine friends who decided to make a quilt for Stephenie Meyer. TAer Shannon has been nice enough to share the amazing story with us and even share pictures of the top of the quilt, which is in California right now getting quilted. Read below for more of their awesome story:
At the beginning of April, the ladies that had been together at Twilight Moms supporting each other as they worked through the steps of the Twilight Mystery Quilt, started talking about how to fill their quilting time until the next steps were released since the quilt had been indeterminably delayed. We had all become good friends over the months despite no of us having ever met in person. We wanted to be able to continue to have something to work on together and chat about so as not to lose touch with each other.In only a couple of days we had decided to make a quilt for Stephenie Meyer, designed the quilt, and organized into a quilter’s coven. As quilters, we all thought what better way for us to show our love for Twilight and Stephenie Meyer than to make a quilt. We soon decided on our name through voting and the Twilight Quilters Coven was born!
We wanted all four of the books’ iconic covers to be represented. Other blocks were suggested to represent characters and book events. A quote from each book would be chosen through a vote and used as cornerstones. We decided that a medallion-style quilt would best accomodate all of our needs.

If it’s possible for someone to be in love with a quilt, I am in love with this one. I love each block and the quotes with their respective fonts is amazing. I can’t wait for Stephenie to receive this - I am sure she’ll love it!

We really appreciate it.
The making of it was truly a labor of love in more ways than one. We got to show our love for Twilight and Stephenie. We got to be creative and think of ways to represent some of the books’ special moments. Many of us challenged ourselves and learned new techniques, including designing patterns. We’ve become really good friends. The list goes on….

This quilt is awesome! Where can I get one? Maybe I’ll have my grandma try and make me one! Is there a way you can zoom in on it Can you add it to your photos so we can see it closer?!!? That would be awesome!

That quilt is beautiful! Very original! What a great way to show SM your support. That’s such a wonderful personal gift in turn for something personal that SM has created for her fans! I wish I could see her reaction too!
I would love it if you created the patterns and instructions! I’ve always wanted to do a Twilight quilt but I’m not very good at the designing part of it. I much prefer having a pattern to work from.

AMAZING! Beautiful work! If I had an OUNCE of knitting talent, I would totally want the pattern or try making my own! Question: Can the designers explain every square and what scene or character it signifies? I can figure out most of them, but some elaboration would be appreciated.
