TINSEL KOREY (EMILY YOUNG) IN ‘NEW MOON’ MAKEUP

This weekend, our friends over at the Twilight Lexicon are at the TwiTour in Chicago, put on by Creation Entertainment. One of their special guests is Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily Young in New Moon, who is making her first appearance at a convention. Among one of the special treats at the official convention is the unveiling of Tinsel’s character in the film, who we all know is plagued by a large scar across her face.

The lovely ladies at the Lexicon were nice enough to Twitpic a picture of Tinsel in full makeup, but since it is such a huge spoiler, we will give you the option to view the picture or not.

    WOW, the make-up does look very real. It looks good, but I imagined the scar being more reddish and straighter lines from the claws.. these are very jagged. She is a very beautiful girl despite the fact that she has all the make-up! She’s a perfect Emily.

    Oh goodness. I want to click that link so badly. But I also want to keep it a surprise for the movie. Like, last year I refrained from listening to Carter Burwell’s version of Bella’s Lullaby before I saw the movie and I’m glad I did, but…….gosh, I hate temptation. I need to close this window before my miniscule self control runs out! XD

    Aliee, I kinda agree. It’s not at all what I pictured. It’s barely there. :(

    It doesn’t look at all like claw marks to me. It looks more like she got cut by glass when falling through a window or something. It doesn’t look horrible IMO, just not how I pictured her scars to look like.

    It’s not what is depicted in the book. The books describe big red scars that pull down on her mouth, so this is way less scary. She still is beautiful,though.

    I agree with Lisa. In the book the scars were hideous and pulled down the side of her mouth so that when she smiled at Bella, it was only a half smile. I’m disappointed with this part. :(
