Posted July 9th, 2009 By: Team Switzerland 19 Comments »

The Tonner Doll Company has just announced a new Twilight doll, called “Hungry Edward”, that is exclusive to Comic Con 2009. The doll will sell for $129.99 in TONNER booth number 4148 and is only one of 200 made. This is a Comic Con exclusive, but if pieces are left over at the conclusion of the convention, they will be available online. Read/see more below:

Hungry, Edward from Twilightâ„¢

San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Exclusive! Hungry, Edward from Twilghtâ„¢ will be available for purchase exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con. At the conclusion of San Diego Comic-Con, if any product remains it will be available for purchase right here on TonnerDirect.com!

TONNER CHARACTER FIGUREâ„¢

EDWARD must fight his insatiable thirst for BELLA, no matter how Hungry he gets. This latest incarnation of EDWARD CULLEN comes dressed in a soft knit long-sleeved t-shirt and dark wash jeans. Socks, faux leather lace-up shoes, and faux leather bracelet with the Cullen Family crest also included.

The doll is very cool, but not really my thing (and way out of my price range!). So for those of you going to Comic Con – who will be looking at this product and possibly purchasing it?

    wow….expensive….out of my league too

  • Chris

“Hungry Edward”? Who’s their marketing people?

  • Evie

Hahaha Chris! I want to know what part of this outfit screams “hungry”.

  • PrincessJen

BWAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!! Hungry Edward?! His eyes must be black instead of ocher. That would be the only explanation. And why is his hair slicked back? I hope that the others that have been produced have their hair in a casual disarray. Mmmm, Edward sex hair.

  • Chelle

That Cullen crest band looks disproportionally big … so will they have a “Just got back from hunting” Edward?! Sorry, couldn’t resist…

  • Chelle

It should be thirsty Edward… not hungry…

  • PrincessJen

You’re right Chelle, it should be “Thirsty Edward”. And yes, that arm band looks more like a black ace bandage.

The Barbie Edward looks more appealing than this here 130 dollar Tonner doll.

  • katherine

honestly the face looks better than the other dolls BUT the hair is an absolute failure i think i can live without this doll and just survive with my poster……. lol

  • http://TA Caryn

that is way to expensive… and it should be “thirsty edward” not “hungry edward” but atleast its a doll >

  • Inga

    He’s got the crazy eyes!

  • Miserae

Doesn’t make much sense to me. Edward doesn’t get ‘hungry’. Should be Thirsty Edward – who are they trying to sell this to? Obviously not tru Twi-hards….

  • katie

it looks lie mafia edward. what is this? will any of the doll companies EVER get the hair right? all of the toner dolls kind of scare me. the clothes are okay, though.

  • Dani

Yup, ‘Hungry Edward’ is definitely not Twilighterarily correct! But I guess he has black eyes or something… it’s quite a good resemblance though.

  • StephCullen44

    1. It should be “thirsty Edward.
    2.Damn $130!!!!!! What the hell
3.Sorry but that doll is creepy! Really really creepy! Whats with the hair!!!!

  • http://twilightersanonymous Marianne

Is that a hat on his head???? You’re right it is creepy. I think these dolls are a silly idea, sorry doll owners. A nice photo or poster is much more pleasing to the eye (and heart) than looking at that thing.

  • Kolored

$130??? Heh heh, no, I think I’m still sticking with buying the $30 barbie dolls… xD

  • #1twilighter08

WOW! $130!!! US??? wow! i don’t think that i’ll be able to afford that! um i think tht this is for the SERIOUSLY obsessed who are loaded! lol.

  • Bella

LOL this dosent seem like hungry edward it seems like sexy edward and i cant stop staring

  • Judy Bradlaey

I hate how manufacturers overprice things to take advantage of fans. I agree the doll is creepy and does not look at all like Edward!
