Since New Moon hit theaters, we’ve been bringing you a new movie-inspired Top Ten list each week. Well, this week is no different! This time around we’re looking at some of the best quotes that we heard (and laughed at!) in the film.

So for this week’s edition of Top Ten Tuesday, TA Staffer Eirelav brings us:

10. Embry Call: Guess the wolf’s out of the bag.

9. Jasper Hale: Yes. It would be nice to not want to kill you all the time.

8. Charlie Swan: Can I ask you something? Hanging out with Jake seems to take your mind off things for a bit, doesn’t it? You know sometimes, you gotta learn to love what’s good for you, you know what I mean? Of course, what do I know? I’m just a terminal bachelor… Famous ladies man.

7. Jared: Would you shut up? These are trade secrets! Damn it! This chick runs with vampires!

6. Jane: This may hurt just a little.

5. Alice Cullen: As soon as you let the dog out.

4. Emmett Cullen: Dating an older woman? Hot!

3. Bella Swan: You’re sorta beautiful.
Jacob Black: How hard did you hit your head?

2. Edward Cullen: It’s my job to protect you. From everyone â€¦ except my sister.

1. Bella Swan: Maybe I shouldn’t date such an old guy. It’s gross. I should be thoroughly repulsed.

#7 is my favorite! And then after when Bella says “um, you can’t actually run with vampires…cuz they’re really fast.” lol.

Also Edward has a great line as they’re walking into the Voultri camp, relating to his mindreading, but I can’t remember what it is? I haven’t watched the movie enough times yet to have every line menorized like I did by the time I had seen twilight in the theater for the last time. lol.

Oh, and also at school after Jasper uses his ability to calm Bella about her birthday party, Bella says “No fair Jasper!” and Edward says something about just can’t trust vampires. Help me out, lol.

Well done Eirelav & Lizzie too. Between you both you have the best ones. However I cannot believe what I consider to be the best quote of the movie has not made any of your lists

Edward – “I have one condition & then forever…Marry me…..Bella”

I know thats probably not word perfect but you get the idea. And Edwards/Robs smirk as he is saying those lines…I all but hyperventilate every time at that part of the movie.

I love all those lines and the ones you said Lizzie. There are many that I love from the movie.

I really enjoyed it when Jared: “Would you shut up? These are trade secrets! Damn it! This chick runs with vampires!” Bella: “You can’t run with vampires because they’re FAST!”. It was funny and it was the first time Bella jokes about the vampires since the Cullens left. I also like when Paul comes in and gives her a smile and just says “sorry!” like that makes up for turning into a wolf to kill her.

OME! When Edward recites Romeo and Juliet…. One of my 2 favorite quotes from Romeo and Juliet!!!

My other fav, althugh not in the movie but just as beautiful is:

One of my favorite lines was said by Jacob when he was in his garage with Bella and they were debating over how old they really were. It was something along the lines of, “Actually, my size and knowledge base makes me older than you. Because of your general paleness and lack of know-how.”
I don’t know why, but just the way he says this makes me laugh

I actually love the very beginning, where it’s a voice over of Bella, and she quotes the poem by Friar Lawrence.
Bella: These violent delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die. Like fire and powder, which as they kiss, consume.
I just love that poem lol. And the part where Charlie gives Bella her presents.
Charlie: How’d you get so old so fast? Bella: I didn’t. It’s not that old. Charlie: Well, I don’t know. Is that a gray hair?
It was so funny. Pretty much everything with Charlie is hilarious. And even though its sad i love a line in the break-up scene.
Bella: If this is about my soul, take it. I don’t want it without you.
That almost made me cry. lol. But i think my favorite of all quotes in the movie is when their in the Volturi’s little lair thing.
Bella: You don’t know a thing about his soul.
Idk y, i just like it a lot. Ok, im done. lol

I don’t know if anyone will love this quote as much as me. During the birthday scene, when Bella and Edward are talking, Edward is talking about Victoria. Bella says, “I could protect you.” Edward says sooooo beautifully, “You already do protect me.” The way he says that makes my heart melt everytime. Every nerve in my body becomes a live wire.

i love new moon so much it was the best i love this line wen bellas doing the vote and edwards like interupting her and she turns around and says “just shut up!” and at her eighteenth birthday party when emmetts telling edward “dating an older woman,hot” hahaha and ok 2 more things 1 wen alice and bella were at her house and jacob came and hes like “dont get me upset things could get very ugly” but it was so sad wen she bella was leaving with alice to go save edward and then jacobs almost crying and hes like begging ok thats it ill coment soon [and next time ill hope a few sentences not a page]

okay so im not sure if anyone else found this funny but i love when jacob like climbs all the trees and everything to get into bellas room and then hes just like “hey” likes its no big deal. me and my friend were laughing at that when we saw it and people were staring at us cause they didnt think it was funny.

i was expecting New Moon(the saddest book to me, and probably everyone else) to be my least favorite of the movies, but it was so much better than the first. i still love the books soooo much more, but getting to stare at rob and taylor is a major benefit to the films.
i’m one of the few and the proud that remembers when New Moon came out. i went to our local 24hr bookstore and picked it up at midnight on August 21, 2006. i satyed up all night reading it and crying, i think my mother was a tad concerned about me.
