1950′s Chevy Truck – Mentioned in Twilight, New Moon & Eclipse

There, parked on the street in front of the house that never changed, was my new – well, new to me – truck. It was a faded red color, with big, rounded fenders and a bulbous cab. To my intense surprise, I loved it. I didn’t know if it would run, but I could see myself in it. Plus, it was one of those solid iron affairs that never gets damaged – the kind you see at the scene of an accident, paint unscratched, surrounded by the pieces of the foreign car it had destroyed.

Isn’t Bella’s truck a 1953 chev pickup? That picture that you have of her truck is of a 1960′s like the one that they use in the movie not a 1953. to see the real truck go to google.com and type in 1953 chevy pickup and it will have pictures of Bella’s real truck.

Sorry I just notice a lot of detail and it was bugging me that this was wrong because I like Classic cars and truck, no offense intended

Thanks for the info Cheyanne. I too saw that they had the wrong truck in the picture – they should have done what they did with the section for Edward’s car…a picture of the real thing, then a picture of what they used in the movie.

Just to let all the fans know…. the truck used in the move is a ’63 Chevy with the Custom Cab trim. I own three ’63′s myself so it was easy to pinpoint the year.

Well, maybe they changed the book, but its described as a chevy, bought by Billy in ’84 but it was new in the early sixties late fifties at the earliest, The truck mentioned in Twilight is described as such and the truck used in the movie is a 63 chevy… wich would match the book fairly well…. no mention of ’53 as far as i could find…
