TWILIGHT CAST FEATURED IN EMPIRE MAGAZINE

Posted October 29th, 2008 By: Team Switzerland 7 Comments »

The cast of Twilight is featured in the new issue of Empire Magazine, and the NY Post’s Popwrap Blog has a short article about it and an accompanying picture. The author seems to have some pretty high hopes for the movie! Details below:

Robert Pattinson and the cast of 2008′s second most successful film (I’m calling it now as a runner-up to “Dark Knight”) are featured in the new issue of my favorite magazine in the world, Empire. In addition to this brand new moody shot, Robbie (what’s his preferred nickname?) talked about the pandemonium involved with being a part of fall’s most-anticipated movie.

“It dawned on me at Comic-Con,” he says in Empire’s December issue. “Walking out on stage was the weirdest experience of my life. It was like being in N’Sync.”

But he’s not letting all the attention go to his head — or his stomach. “Afterwards I was like ‘Wow, I was just in a room with 7,000 girls screaming at me. Now what am I going to have for dinner?’”

Robert also says that he knew from day one that his chemistry with on-screen love Kristen Stewart was undeniable. “It was there from the beginning. The way Kristen and I reacted to each other just felt right. It was exactly right for Edward and Bella’s relationship. And it’s all about the relationship.”

Last night they aired exclusive scenes during the “Greek” finale — more on that below — and I love his British accent so much. Almost wish they made Edward a Brit just so I could hear it for two hours in the theater!

Wow! I think it’s a huge compliment for the author to say he anticipates “Twilight” will re a runner-up to “Dark Knight” in the box office.

What are your thoughts? Do you think it will even come close to the success of “Dark Knight”?

Okay, well I’m curious to see Twilight’s box office numbers, I’ll probably be contributing 3-4 showings, lol, no joke. But I don’t THINK it’ll hit as big as Dark Knight. It’ll hit big but not 150 million dollar worth opening weekend big.

I think it will do well, but I don’t know how well. I know I’ll be seeing it a few times. I already told my daughter she can’t see Bolt that weekend. She has to wait. But, I do have to say, I LOVE this photo of the cast!!

I don’t think that it will have an opening like Batman but it will do well. I agree with the point that it will be the preferred date movie out there for a long time. That element makes me think of Titanic. Maybe it will have big long term success.

Definitely runner up to Batman. It’s going to be so fun.

    omj! thats awesome!

taylor looks so goood in the pic!

  • Runs with vampires

I love this photo too, they’re lookin all vampy with the smolder-stares goin’ on, except for Taylor with the wolfy-stare. My girls want to see Bolt too but it’s gonna have to wait cause it’s my turn. I really do think it will blow Batman out of the water simply because if 7000 ladies showed up at Comic-Con, Imagine how many will be at the first showing of Twilight? And the second? I can’t imagine how many matinees I’ll have to catch to tye me over until the DVD comes out? Maybe it’ll be out by Valentines Day – Imagine the marketing ploys with that? What says I love you more than a Vampire Sci-Fi Romance Movie?

This is very cool-I love what he said about Twilight being the second most successful of the year. If it rivals Harry Potter, which is what most people say, the first HP movie did 90 million opening weekend. So, Twilight will make at least that and I hope it beats HP!
This movie will bring vampires into the main stream and maybe us vampire fans won’t have to hide our vampire love anymore. There’s just something special about a male vampire and a female human relationship. I’ve been hooked on them since Buffy.
