TWILIGHT MUSIC MONTH: THE TWILIGHTERS (DAY ONE)

It is day one of our second week of Twilight Music Month! Today, we are very pleased to be able to introduce you to another great Twilight-related band, The Twilighters. In addition to a great introduction to this weeks band, we’ve also got an awesome new contest for you guys! So sit back, read a little about The Twilighters, and get ready for your chance to win their CD:

Erin Pyne (Bella) and Fred Mergenthaler (Edward) are The Twilighters! We sing music about the Twilight series from the point of view of Edward and Bella. With songs that focus on the themes of undying love and everlasting life, The Twilighters will make you fall in love with the Twilight series all over again.

We live in Orlando and perform concerts with our fellow Twi Rockers- Mandala at Twilight and Spider Monkey! We have two concerts coming up in March to celebrate the Twilight DVD release. On March 20th we will be performing at Sandlake Borders Books and Music at 9:00pm for the Midnight DVD release party! On March 21st we will be playing at The Virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney! The show begins at 6:00pm!

We decided to write songs about Twilight when a friend of ours asked us to help with the entertainment for the Breaking Dawn midnight release party at Barnes and Noble. Because Fred looks so much like Robert Pattinson, it was an easy choice to become the characters of Edward and Bella. The characters in Twilight are so vivid and developed, it was easy to write from the characters’ point of view. I was specifically inspired by moments in the book when Bella was alone; the part when Edward leaves her in the woods and the cliff diving scene. Fred has such a great sense of humor, and he is really great at writing fun lyrics and playing upbeat tunes on the guitar. We hope that when listening to The Twilighters, you will re-live the wonderful romantic and fun moments from the books.
