TWILIGHT ODDS AND ENDS - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
November 27th, 2008
Here are your odds and ends for today:
-
ET has sneak peek photos from Robert Pattinson’s new movie!
- ‘Twilight’’s break-out star is taking a bite out of the box office with his turn as the hunky vampire Edward Cullen, but you’ll never guess which famous artist is next on Robert’s acting bill! Click here (thanks lisa)
- As the weekend’s receipts were tallied, Meyer nervously awaited news that the adaptation of her first book was a hit. ‘’There’s that petty part of me that wants the movie to do really great so no one can say ‘See, all this buildup for something stupid! Ha, what a flop!”’ she’d told EW a few weeks earlier. Turns out her wish was her fans’ command. Click here for more.
- âI feel amazing,â Gathegi gushed. âItâs wonderful to be part of a hugely successful opening.â As for his whereabouts during the âTwilightâ opening weekend, he remembered: âI was in Cambridge, meeting fans all weekend, and trying to not think about how the film was performing, but every few minutes I would get text messages from friends and family telling me how it was doing. The estimates kept going up. It was surreal!âClick here for more.(hugz)

I got a 150 on the quiz!!! not great, but it’ll do.
Oh crap!! Was I the only one that just noticed and had a case of the worry bug when reading the EW article???? They don’t think New Moon needs a bigger budget???!! Is Summit on crack??!! They ABSOLUTELY need a bigger budget!! They go to Italy, and the CGI needs to be 110% better then Twilight. That werewolf transformation can NOT look cheesy! I mean I think they’ll get a bigger budget considering the amount of money Twilight made but I’m still worried. I HOPE Catherine gets signed on and they give New Moon the budget that is well deserved. Twilight was not given the budget it deserved, and if it would have those special effects wouldn’t have been cheesy.
Yeah I’m a little worried about the “New Moon” budget talks too. There is no way that New Moon can be made with the same budget as “Twilight”! I have fallen in love with Twilight the movie however the special effect aren’t that great. The transformation into werewolves is imparative that they are believable, if not Twilight fans are going to lose interest and “Eclipes” and “Breaking Dawn” may not have a chance. These big wigs at Summit need to start reading some blogs or something and find out what the fans want in this next film compared to the first one so the fans will stay loyal. And the whole issue with Taylor Lautner I feel may be valid to a point. I have been asking the same question since I saw Twilight…how are they going to mature him and make him grow a full foot? He’s sweet and cute for the little girls but this is something that they should have thought of when casting Jacob’s part, now I feel they need to deal with it the best they can and leave the cast alone. Did any one else catch the whole thing about Robert cutting his hair….what a shame it was an intrical part of his laid back, sleepy eyed, sexy look he had going on there. Oh well hair does grow back I guess.
I really wish people would lay off about Taylor having to grow a foot. NO ACTOR, NO MATTER WHO HE IS (STEVEN STRAIT), CAN GROW A FOOT THAT FAST!!! Get over it. They make movies where people grow all the time. Try having a little faith in the people. It IS their job, I’m sure they know what they’re doing.
Taylor did a GREAT JOB in Twilight, even with the small part he had. Give him a chance to show you what he can do.
