TWILIGHT SAGA BOOK CLUB: NIGHTMARE, TWILIGHT CHAPTER 7

Bella returns home from the LaPush outing unable to erase Jacob Black’s “legends” from her mind. She attempts to block it out with music and sleep. The latter only brings her dreams that soon turn to nightmares, which include Jacob and Edward in menacing forms.Unable to put it off any longer, Bella begins to do some internet research on vampires. After sifting through various sites and “Vampires A-Z”, she admits to herself that some of the physical descriptions fit but other tales don’t match what she has seen in the Cullens. There is also a mention of Stregoni benefici – a “good vampire”. She finds this reassuring.
In an attempt to clear her head, Bella goes for a walk in the forest behind Charlie’s house. This only increases her muddled thoughts and she finally heads back home, resigned to her decision on how to deal with the news on the Cullens. She admits to herself that she cannot turn away from Edward. With the decision made, Bella feels more at ease, taking comfort in finding some resolution.
Bella returns to school the next day, where she dodges a date invitation from Mike Newton and internally laments that Edward is once again not at school. She is grateful and excited when Angela and Jessica announce that plans are back on for girls’ night out in Port Angeles.
