Edit: Many are confused as to who the wolf pack actors will be. Summit confirmed the actors in the wolf pack back in March, and you can view that list here.

Wow, I don’t even know what to say. I am speechless right now. I’m so thrilled to have confirmation for Jamie and Michael, and I am thrilled to hear the rest of the Volturi as well. And a funny side note: You guys are great at casting. Back when we did our “New Moon: Pick Your Dream Cast” project, you chose Graham Greene as Harry Clearwater, and he was cast! View the Dream Cast list here.

What do you think of the new cast? Does anyone surprise you? How are you feeling about New Moon now that we have a full cast list?

Ok, so Michael Sheen and Christopher Heyerdahl work together as Aro and Marcus…but who they chose for Caius…ummm, seriously? How is he going to fit in..he’s like 18 dude and they’re supposed to look old and ancient-ish.

  • mysteriously

That kid is a spot on choice for Felix. Alec doesn’t seem too bad a choice either. What I can’t quite understand is why they’ve cast two men to play Aro & Marcus and then a child to play Caius, but I guess I’ll reserve total judgement until I see them on screen, in hair and makeup.

  • Lilly

    what about charlie?

  • Brittany

AHHH! i think they are all amazing, Except, I’m a little confused about Jamie Campbell as Caius.. I don’t really get tht.. hahaa. He is adorible though. I’m SO SO SO sycked about Cameron Bright playing Alec. He is such a cutie now. :D I think they did a amazing job casting can’t wait till i see the movie in novembeer!

  • twilightbloom

Finally, a cast list!! Mary, I feel the same concern you do; I think Jamie Campbell Bower is cute as all get out and would have made a great Alec but Caius…that’s a HUGE stretch. What are they gonna do? CGI him to death or have him in a make-up chair three hours a day to make him “look” the part? Okay, repeated rant over for now…
But Graham Greene for Harry Clearwater-YIPPEEE!! So, I’m guessing that the screenplay gives him more time because he sure doesn’t have any in the books-this makes me wonder how Melissa Rosenberg has tweaked the story to give him a meatier role.
So, for the most part, I’m pretty jazzed (yes, that WAS a shameless nod to Jasper/Jackson-LOL) about the casting choices. Now I’m wondering how the story line is being adapted…gah, I have got to get a life…

  • Catherine

i loveeeee! not sure about the Felix or Marcus casting. I imagined them differently, especially Marcus! i agree, how will they make Caius look older? i do like Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius though :D

  • Sprite

I am excited about this announcement…..but was wondering way no mention of Billy Black (Gil) I think Gil and Graham will be great together.

  • creamy

As Mary said, the age difference between Michael Sheen, Christopher Heyerdahl and then Jamie Campbell-Bower would seem to be a problem. They are referred to as brothers in the book. It was never clear to me if that was actual blood-brothers, or just three old guys at the top of the power pyramid.

Regardless, they all were mentioned as being “several thousand years old.” Old enough for their skin to age in a sort of vampire type way. (shale, no longer marble?). So, either they are writing the characters to be very different from the book, or they have great faith in their make-up artists.

As for all the others, I will have to check them out. Except for Graham Greene, I’ve never heard of a single one. (I don’t get out much.)

  • daphne

holy sh-t. they got some really good actors. so many people in this film. they didn’t mention any of the human’s but those are obvious.

the volturi members don’t have to be old, they’re vampires, they could have been turned when they were still young. and they remain young remember?

  • Chris

Am I missing something… What about Sam Uley?

  • Elodie

Cameron Bright is a perfect choice for Alec! They are going to make excellent twins wit Dakota fanning. I´m so curious about the final Volturi look.

  • TexasVampire

    All I can say..

    ABOUT TIME!

The movie is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Caitlin

I find myself quite pleased with the casting, especially the Volturi casting. Mainly because, 3 of the actors are tied to the Stargate Franchise (I’m a huge fan.). I’m absolutely mused by it, especially, with the casting of Christopher Heyerdahl. He’s an exceptional actor who deserves more attention. He’s also PERFECT for the role of Marcus. Even though Marcus is a smaller part, I’m glad we’ll be seeing Chris play the role for New Moon, and I’m hoping they allow him to reprise the role for Breaking Dawn.

  • BIGBELLAFAN

they don’t have to look old, there skin just had to be ‘papery’, there still beautiful coz there are vampires

  • Julia

I’ll say this again — I hope they ALL went into this movie knowing that they ALSO need to do Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Recasting is SO SLOPPY.

But other than that…. Excited excited :) Is it November yet?

  • Jen

Billy Burke wasn’t mentioned. Should we be concerned?

  • Susan

I’m soooo excited that they just gave us this list! I absolutely love their choice for Alec, his face seems perfect for the part to me!

  • irunwithvampires

YAY!!!! I’m so happy that we finally have the finalized, official list. Some of the new cast dont have pictures on imdb, but from what i can see, it looks like everying will fit into thier roles nicely. Grahama Greene was phenomenal in Dances With Wolves (one of my all-time favorite movies) and just about jumped 50 feet in the air when i read he was cast lol. Plus, check out his film resume on IMDB. I think he has more films under his belt than the rest of the cast combined! Jamie campbell bower was great in Sweeney Todd, and is certainly has the looks to pull off a vampire. Tinsel Korey is BEAUTIFUL and strangely enough looks EXACTLY like Emily in my head. And Noot Seer is perfect for Heidi, and its good she has some acting experience. And i couldn’t help but smile when i read she rides horses, and was a “champion” at that. i know it doesnt really apply, but just knowing that i ahve a fellow rider on the cast just makes me so happy =)

  • Danielle

OMR thank you so much summit ;D. I am so happy with the choice of Michael Sheen and Chrisopher Heyerdahl (I loved him as Alastair in supernatural) great job. I can’t wait YAY

  • http://twilightersanonymous.com/twilight-saga-new-moon-movie-news-complete-cast-list-summit-entertainment.html?9c2d5480 Marie

Mary, the same way they made Brad Pitt look very old — makeup :)

I’m happy to see one of my favorite actors, Graham Greene, playing Harry. He’s perfect and who I had in mind when I read the books. I know a lot of people are questioning it, but I think Dakota has it in her to pull off playing Jane. The girl has a wide range and should also look just as Jane should. Michael Sheen, adore him but I’m curious how he’ll look in the movie. He can look so very different, depending on his hair or facial hair, but I think he’ll be fantastic as Aro.

Everyone else… I have no idea who they are and just hope they do an excellent job for us fans and our beloved Twilight saga!

  • http://twilightersanonymous Marianne

I agree with BIGFELLAFAN….They just have to look ‘fragile’and
‘papery’ they were referred to as the ancient ones. Bella said in the book that Caius’ voice was “papery thin, like his skin”.(pg.478) Jamie does look sort of fragile already. Great choices.

  • Robin Mcfarlane

What about the the man that played Charlie as Bella’s father is he going to be the same character.

  • deb

    Who’s playing Sam?

  • Mary

Im soo excited to see the official cast list! YAY I cant wait now….Im going to see New Moon 20 times more lol than twilight.

  • kijo921

OME!!!!!! I should be a freakin’ casting agent! I called Daniel Cudmore as Felix and Graham Greene as either Harry Clearwater or old Quil Ateara! Well, I am still a little disappointed about Jamie Campbell-Bowers because I think he’s too young, but I’m at least going to give him a shot. He could have this great hidden talent. Man, I need to go to school to become a casting agent so that I can work on Breaking Dawn. That’s the one I’m going to have a field day with!

  • Jessica

What about Seth and Leah Clearwater, because the become more and more important as the books progress. They’re in New Moon the book, barely but still it should be mentioned. Sooo .. ?

  • Angelina

I am simply amazed at how the casting department did with casting our favorite characters they hit every single one amazingly well I am thrilled and can’t wait to see it all in action

But there is one person I am skeptical about…. Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius has me a little worried but I might just be all wrong.

    November can’t come soon enough!!!

  • Momfrog Lorit

BRILLIANT!!! This is going to be so exciting!!

Now, to answer some of y’alls concerns:

    1) Billy Burke has *already been confirmed* as returning as Charlie.

    2) Solomon Trimble has been replaced as Sam. The entire Wolf Pack was anounced earlier.

    3) Caius being younger … remember, we don’t know when they all were changed. Each of them could have been transformed at a different stage in their lives. And as for calling each other “brother” … Edward and Emmett and Jasper and Rosalie and Alice all call each other “brother” and “sister”, yet none of them are related. It’s the same with the Volturi.

Keep the positive vibes going. If all you’re looking for is negative, you’re not going to enjoy the ride.

    Woo hoo!!!!

  • creamy

The IMBD shows Billy Burke filming for New Moon. I am sure I read in an interview (with Billy) somewhere that he would be in this film. I hope this is correct. He was perfect as Charlie. I thought I remembered him speaking about scenes with Kristen after Edward left. How can we confirm this? I hope this doesn’t mean his part is too tiny to list with the rest.

  • Chelsea

Finally! I’m so glad to see the final casting list. This movie is going to be amazing, and the actors they casted will play their parts so well. Looking forward to November 20.

  • mackenzie

Thank God i have been waiting for this the day after i saw Twilight i love the people they choose for this movie it is going to be so so so good i cant wait to see it

  • Tina

I do not see Billy Burke’s name on the list, is Charlie not going to be in the movie?

  • Alyssa Bear

OMG GRAHAM IS FUNNY..HE WAS GOOD IN SKINS AND CHRISTMAS IN THE CLOUDS..COOL..THERE ARE GONNA BE A LOT OF NATIVES IN THIS MOVIE..IM SO HAPPY CUZ IM NATIVE AND A LOT OF NATIVES ARE GONNA BE IN THE BEST MOVIE EVER HAHA…

  • Lainie88

I HAVE BEEN SAYING CAMERON BRIGHT FOR ALEC FROM THE BEGINNING. I JUST SCREAMED SO LOUD – HE IS PERFECT FOR THAT PART !!!! I’M SO EXCITED !!!

  • Clair de Lune

I adore Graham Greene, it’s too bad Henry Clearwater is so short lived on the series. I’d like to see more of him

  • Trish

People, make-up can do WONDERS! They’ll be able to make anyone
that needs to look old, look ancient. :) Good choices all the way around!

  • imatruetwilightfannotsomebandwagojumperwhoonlylikesitnowthatitspopular

JAMIE IS WAY TO YOUNG AND TOO HOTT TO PLAY CAIUS!
    CMON! SERIOUSLY?!

  • #1twilighter08

OME!!! OME!!! thank u guys soooo much! i have been waiting for an official cast list for AGES!!!! i am especially happy with the casting of aro. michael sheen was off another vampire/werewolf/lycan movie-for those of you who don’t know. i’m pretty sure that you all do! well i guess it will be different for him to play the “other side”. he was a werewolf/lycan in the movie underworld-for all of you who havent watched it…WATCH IT!!!

  • SamanthaJane

WOW! Im impressed, this is going to be an amazing movie
    Now im even more excited
I really like their choices for all of the Volturi
    Especially Aro!!!
    : )

  • Gabby

I’m soooooooooo excited and super happy to finally know the rest of the cast and I love it! Nice job Chris, you’re really taking away most of the fears I had for this movie. Now I really can’t wait to see it!!!

  • noemy

i don’t get it is robert pattinson and kristen stewart rjoining th twilight cast cus i don’t see there name with the rest of the rejoining cast memers also what about th wolf people who are they going to be played by

  • Tracy

so happy that summit released this list!
cameron bright is going to be amazing as alec!! him and dakota will hopefully be great as brother and sister.

    ahhhhhh I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!! :D

  • kijo921

Noemy, I’m not trying to be mean here but they’ve signed Kristen and Rob immediately after Twilight’s first weekend in theaters. Summit knew then that they would be doing New Moon. The “wolf parts” were release some time ago. Search on this website or just “google it” and you’ll find out who they are. Believe me, it’s worth the time to find out who they are! Also, check the gallery on this site down at the bottom under New Moon cast photos or something like that. I think this release from Summit was for those of us who have been salivating over every little drop of casting news lately.

  • Annie

    Wow. Awesome!
But, really, I pictured the Volturi looking in their early twenties. And why the heck is Caius way younger than Aro and Marcus? Isn’t it the other way around?

  • Habiba

It seems we’re all concerned with Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius!!!
I do agree, I can’t see it!! I would’ve thought they’d chose a young Aro and much older-looking Caius and Marcus. but what do I know. and like most of you said. let us reserve our judgment until we see them on screen in full attire. I, however, have no other objection to any of them. I would’ve imagined Marcus to look younger though.. let us see.

  • Angelica

This is SO awesome! Everyone looks great- I have no qualms about anyone “fitting in”.

This really makes me feel like the Volturi scene is going to come off as terrifying as it’s meant to be! Casting, acting-skills, locations… Fabulous-fabulous-fabulous!!!!!!

I can not wait until this movie is released! SO agonizing… CAN’T WAIT!!! :)

  • K

LOVE Cameron Bright as ALEC!!! LOVE IT!! I am so excited.. I think they did an amazing job picking the cast.. Aro is the only one I always pictured to be older looking and she never said he looked old just his skin.. I love who they got as the wolf pack too.. They did amazing!! :)

  • Lady Damon

OMFG i am so saatisfied with the rest of the cast. not really happy about dakota fanning but the rest of the volturi i’m very excited to see!!! i was REALLY excited to see cameron bright as alec( i casted him in my mind lol) and my fave werewolf(sorry wolf pack) michael sheen as Aro!!!! this cast i think is gona make the movie EFFING AWESOME!!!! lets hope the director does a great job as well!

  • Robin

The cast looks great, my only reservation is the one they cast to play Caius, he’s tooo baby faced and doesn’t make me think of a night time patron of the arts, but I guess that’s what makeup is for. Chris Weitz must have seen something in him that we that are unsure of him don’t. Can’t wait for November 20!!!

  • Provi

wowww….extremely awesome cast…!!! really can`t wait to see it already

  • patty

omg gosh ocol. hteyre call ocmign and htey lal the roels ar e ogod hocirs. I cna’t ait . I love ht siers nad the moveoi and hte charactets and the actors. I can’t wiat ofr hte osundtrakco r the rest of he, and hana peslte needs to boe of the osngs on new moon

  • Teamjasper101 (angie)

    Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus
omgsh he will be so good playing Marcus =]. He did a really good job on Supernatural playing Alastiar a Demon. omsgh he will be really good im happy that he got picked for the part =]. He’s really awesome.

  • dana

yes what about the charlie, and sam ?????????

  • Madison

I’ve been a die hard twilight fan from the begining. I’ve read the whole series, over six times. dispite that i really liked the first twilight film, i thought it didn’t flow well together. the lack of emotion in the characters, i thought was a problem also. catherine, i thought didn’t concentrate enough, on how the characters really react with each other, she didn’t out enough emphasis on how deep Bella and Edwards relationship, actually was. It was TOO FAST PACED, I understand that you have to get things going alittle faster in films, but..she just lost soooo much, that could have been, you know? the screen writer,Melissa..i was VERY disapointed with. she didn’t flow hardly anything together, i felt she really didn’t connect to the book at all!!!! i’m worried Chirs, will just fill the movie with special effects,(typical for a male director to do) and not really get into depth of Bella’s depression. They have a full box office sum to work with, so i do hope they use it WISELY!!! I have high hopes for the seconf film, and i think the bar is set, if he messes up this..he should be prepared, for some strong hate mail. I wish the best of luck, to Chris, and watch..the screen writer, Melissa. I don’t trust her judgement.

  • Not saying

    WHO IS LEAH!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?1?!?

  • Arianna

Wow,i must say that the cast is awesome. They look just like i imagined them :D As for Noot Seer, what is her name ? I mean is it Seer or Seear ? Well,i love the cast, and i can’t wait for NM,i hate it that i will probably have to wait a month longer for NM,which sucks. Why cant people in Balkan have the film premiere the same day as USA ???

  • Jessica

Leah and Seth! Come on, I need answerssss. Who’s going to play them?

  • chloe

OMGGEEEEEEEE!!!!!! i love the cast… well except fer alec and caius. i dont know. i just dont think they fit very well. i mean i looked them up, but well. i guess ill just have to see!!! but i mean stillll!!!!!! i am dying to see New Moon! They better not screw it up! I mean Twilight was pretty good, but i think it could’ve been better. high hopes fer the movieee!!!!:]

  • Stacy Schumacher

I’m fine with the new director and am in high hopes that the Cullen Mansion become more true to the detailed description in Twilight. U can’t change the Cullen Mansion that far from the book. Can’t wait to see the finished product. Cast looks great!

  • Carol

I’m more worried about the storyline than the cast. They could all have paper bags over their heads for all I care. I totally expect another “Twilight” where they cut so much stuff out and change things around so much that it doesn’t even seem like the same thing. I hope not but I don’t see where they can make a 2 hour movie with that so much material.

  • Paige -Confused-

    But Wa About Charliee ?

  • Katmandu

Interested to see how this all goes down in the movie-the book gives you a different mental pic on Aro, Marcus and Caisus, 2000-3000 years old is OLD-these guy’s look too young, but maybe it will work out in the movie-everyone else fit’s their parts. If the trailers I’ve seen so far are any indication of how the movie is going, I AM STOKED!TOTALLY!

  • Rachel

If I remember correctly in the book, they were supposed to be ancient, but appear the same age as Carlisle, which appears young… so I don’t think it should be a big deal… They’re ancient.. but in the sense that they’ve been the same age for over 600 years, and they look fragile.

  • julie

I love the casting I was concerned that Billy Burke is not mentioned will he be doing charlie again. It wouldn’t be the same with him. let us know
