1. In Breaking Dawn we had quite a bit of Jacob’s POV, but this extra gives us some insight into Jacob’s thoughts in Twilight and New Moon. What do you think of the extra?

    1. Jacob is not a fav character so his POV was not surprising.
    2. Stephanie wrote him pretty transparent so no new surprises.
    3. Changing scene was cool. She made them HUGE.

    I read this just a couple of weeks ago. It really helped me empathize with Jacob. After reading Eclipse, I pretty much hated Jacob. He was immature, and seemed sooo selfish, the way he tried to pull Bella away from Edward. But reading what Stephanie wrote from his POV, let me understand his thinking, his elation, his concerns, his pain. The way he felt about Bella, and the way he thought of the vampires, I could understand more why he acted the way he did. It helped me go back to liking him the way I had in New Moon (before he got moody).

    I liked her description of the wolf transformation, that was really cool.

    I would rather her continue the series from Bella or Edward’s point of view. Or even Alice or another vampire. I still lover Bella and Edward the must, and still prefer Vampires to Werewolves.

    i see jacob as a young man desperate to gain the love of bella before her choices make it too late. he doesn’t always handle things well, but it is obvious his rash, desperate behavior is brought on by youth, inexperience, and fear of his potential loss, and bellas.
    i find it endearing that he sincerely apologizes and then tries to make up for things. a few times he admits he is not sorry, but his explanations are valid when all is considered.
    by all he has been taught of vampires, it is easily understood how bella should be protected even if he were not in love with her. him not knowing or understanding the difference in the cullen family’s character, and of course edward, a great cause of jealousy, sets the stage for a lot of emotion, misunderstanding, and forced attempts to by jacob to make things right by how he understands and sees the situation.
    i think stephanie made him quite clear, and i don’t understand the animosity toward the character. his motives were pure.
    some readers dislike him since he was a threat to edward as far as his romance with bella, but that in itself does not make him a bad person. it was two nice guys in love with the same girl.

    I personally would love to see the Twilight saga continue from Jacob’s perspective starting where it left off in Breaking Dawn. I never saw Jacob as trying to steal Bella from Edward, I saw Bella more a less use Jacob to help her self through a difficult time. Bella always knew Jacob had feelings for her and knew that he would take things the wrong way, but never did anything really to stop it. Why wouldn’t Jacob keep trying if Bella is still sending mixed signals? And another thing we must not forget, Jacob actually saved Bella more than once including the Cullen’s. If it had not been for Jacob, she really would have died in New Moon, and in Eclipse the Cullen’s would not have been able to handle Victory’s army without Jacob and the pack, and of course lets not forget that it was the sight of Jacob there beside Bella that made them stop and listen in the first place.
    Ok,, you guessed it,,,,, TEAM JACOB….of just for the underdog…..lol
    That is why I would love to see Jacob get his happy ending full of love and excitement.

    I totally agree with el. He did what he had to do. Being Jacob Black was to be a young man still learning, being unselfish and in love. I also love how no matter how Bella held him at a distance he was willing to share friendship with her when that is what she really need the most.

    I know some people think that the saga should end where Stephenie has currently “ended” it. BUT, how can that be?? I know it might seem like a spin-off but I want more of this story…. there has to be more to this story! I mean, the Volturi are still out there…. keeping an eye on the Cullen coven. Renesmee is supposed to be growing and aging at a rapid rate… what’s to come of that? Also, it seems as if the Cullens are becoming just as powerful as the Volturi especially with the help of their ‘friends’! It just makes me question so much about and ask what about this and what if that???

    Stephenie, we love you… WRITE MORE PLEASE!!!! Finish Midnight Sun and publish it, PLeASe!!!

    and for the love of all twilight…please write more! what happens with jacob and renesmee?! we love you stephenie and hope that our beloved story continues to form in your creatove genius of a mind mind and demand to be told along with the rest of the saga!

    Again, I feel so comforted I am not alone in my obsession.

    Several valid points have been made so far. Though I have always felt Bella absolutely belonged with Edward, even with her self-discovery at the end of Eclipse, I still liked Jacob. I just like Edward more.

    That said, I thought the description of the wolf transformation was excellent. Very Stephenie. I felt much more of Jacob’s confusion and terror than we were able to feel from what he could disclose to Bella. When Jacob looked down and realized he was a different creature, it would have been funny if I hadn’t felt so bad for him. How terrifying would that be if you had no idea if could happen. I really can’t visualize a wolf so large that his shoulders can barely squeeze through the door or his head hitting the ceiling. I was just glad that he had friends other than Sam to help him adjust.

    Even though this perspective gave more detail from Jacob’s mind, I wasn’t too surprised by any of it. We all knew he was in love with Bella, and though both of them kept referring to their friendship even to the end of Breaking Dawn, I felt he was in love with her long before he told her. When he told her at the end of Eclipse that he would stop making it hard for her, I felt bad for him. Bella was every bit as guilty as Jacob that their relationship had been so painful for them both. And for Edward. Yes, she needed him when Edward left, but she could have handled it differently when Edward returned. Even with some of the declarations she made to Jacob about her love for Edward, she still hung on.

    As for more writing from Jacob’s POV, maybe. I would love to know how his life with Renesmee turns out. I would love to know how Renesmee turns out. Is she human enough to get pregnant? Which part of her (human or vampire)will be dominant when she is an adult? How does Jacob (or any of the Quileutes who imprinted, go from playing babysitter to lover?) If it came down to choosing more Bella and Edward, or Jacob and Renesmee, of course I would choose the former. I am still hoping with all I have that Stephenie will write past Twilight/Midnight Sun, and tell us what thoughts and emotions fill Edward’s heart and mind from all the books.

    I really enjoy knowing more about jacobs transformation.
    In the books we were laeft hanging on the night he dropped her off.

    Also its amazing to know Jacob was SO MUCH STRONGER than Sam in some ways.
    I hope you continue (when time happens to come available)

    And i think people need to stop saying stupid crap like “I’m Team Edward, so STOP doing Jacob stuf!”

    Thanks Kasey!! I think we Team Jacobers deserve some extra stuff about our favorite character.
    It would be awesome if Stephenie wrote a full book in Jacob’s perspective. I loved reading his POV in Breaking Dawn. I laughed through practically his whole book. He’s hilarious! I also read “Being Jacob Black” a while back ago, and I could not rip my eyes off the screen. When I got done, I wanted more!
    I also want to know what happens to him and Renesmee. I think it would be so exciting if Stephenie wrote a book about that!
    Woot! Team Jacob forever!! He’s amazing!!!!

    I really liked the extra, before i read it i was completely Team Edward and i hated Jacob, for trying to steal Bella and just because he was there when Edward wasn’t. But then i read that and i realized Jacob is just another teenager in love. It’s not his fault that Edward is pure perfection. It really helped me understand his character and sympathize with him on a level i didn’t think possible.

    2. Are you surprised by any of Jacob’s thoughts?
    Not amazingly, but i didn’t realize that he already liked Bella before she broke down, so i understand why he was so full on and i loved the way he noticed so much about her,i thought that was pretty sweet.

    3. What did you think of Jacob’s description of his wolf transformation?
    I’m undecided on that one, but i liked knowing how it all happened. Solved a few mysteries.

    4. Do you wish that Stephenie would write more of the saga from Jacob’s perspective?
    Honestly, no. I liked getting into the head of Jacob, it helped me feel sorry for the kid, he’s in love with someone who is love with something so perfect she can’t really change her mind. But i think after all of that i know enough about Jacob to understand what he is thinking most of the time. It helped, but no more please.

    On the other hand, Midnight Sun. I really hope Stephenie publishes it because i really do love getting into Edwards head.

    SO….just curius. Have they sent out any info on what the transformation from jacob to wolf is going to be like? I checked out some clips on youtube and their kinda cheesy. I pictured jacob and the pack to be a bit bigger as wolfs. Like in the movie Van Helsing. Am I wrong? Thats how the book made me persieve it too.

    i think bella should not have done jacob. the way she done him leading him on like that. i mean he helped her saved her and was always their 4 her. i feel like she had no one their 4 her. so she turned 2 jacob and used him. if it was me i would have picked jacob and not edward because she cant be with him. i mean after a lot of years. she is gonna get old and he will always be the same. unless she turns into a vampire. p.s jacob is much sexier than edward
