MUTEMATH: “SPOTLIGHT” VIDEO DEBUT

Mutemath, the awesome band who contributed the song “Spotlight” to the Twilight movie soundtrack, has just released the music video for the aforementioned song! If you don’t recall, this song is featured in the movie at the point where Edward and Bella arrive at school together for the first time. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a great song and a brand new video from Mutemath:

I love, love, love this song and video. It’s one of my favorites on the soundtrack and I think it fit perfectly in the movie.

I like song, but that stupid video could trigger seizures in someone! Ugh. It gave me a headache just to watch it. I’ll stick to listening to it on my soundtrack. I will NOT watch that video again!

Uhmmmmmm…do not watch this before you are totally awake.
I loved the placement of the song in the movie, it fit the scene well.
The music video made me a little uneasy, but I am just waking up still, so I’ll watch it again later.

That was GREAT!!!! I loved it! this song was well placed in the movie! It makes me happy when it comes on in the car, along with Supermassive Black Hole!!! The video was amazing!!

I like the song Spotlight in the Twilight movie, it was perfect. As for the video…it was amusing. It probably gave everyone a backache just watching it.

not sure about this, but I think it was actually Mute Math’s song “Earlylight” that was featured in the movie and “Spotlight” was featured on the soundtrack. Earlylight is more of an instrumental version of Spotlight and unfortunately it’s only available for download on the Spotlight EP. Catherine Hardwicke mentioned in the DVD commentary that they combined the two songs together for the movie, but it sure sounds like Earlylight to me.

i’m glad they didn’t do like a twilight themed video like paramore did for decode…

and i thought i’d get bored with them in the truck the whole time, but it was very clever and well done.
best part was when the lead singer had to chase after the van lol.

I TOTALLY DISAGREE. the CONCEPT for the video is awesome i enjoyed seeing everything that was going on it fit well with the song, which is great.

I LOVE that song, but I have to say I prefer imagining the movie as the music video when I hear it. There was nothing “visually dynamic” to me about their video … it was one scene with too much comotion.

This video is hysterical! I love it–it absolutely defines the word “frenetic.” I especially loved the part where they stop to bring in the piano – LOL. I’m glad it was in the movie – good placement.

umm….. i agree the song was awsum and it fit in with the movie but seriously?! that was the most randomest videoclip in the history of videoclips i have watched! i think they cud have made it better! they lost me wen they brought in the piano. i was like u have got to be kidding!

omg i hav a massiv headache from watching this clip…ugh…it was dumb. and the lyrics were kinda stupid all the singer really said was “aahh ahhh ahhh….” it got really boring after like 30 seconds
