The rumors about Leah could happen. Of course that would be a colossal mistake. Vanessa is wrong for any Twilight related part no matter what it is.

I can also see the rumors, if possibly Vanessa visited Nikki (anywhere) and then got into a catfight with Selena over Taylor!! Hell, that would qualify as “Breaking News”!!

Does anyone know Vanessa’s heritage??
I mean for her even to be considered for the role she’ll have to be from native american heritage belonging to those original tribes??:lakota, hualapai etc, like all the other wolf actors are. which chris weits was pretty adament was essential for the actors.
therefore if shes not, she cant play leah.

of corse on the flip side if she does have that heritage it will just add to the rumor mill as she has the required criteria

They are probably still friends from doing Thirteen together. Vanessa had a small role in the movie. Hopefully shopping with Nikki is as close as she will EVER come to the Twilight series. Now, if Catherine were still directing… Vanessa would surely cast her as Leah. Another reason to be grateful Catherine is not doing New Moon or Eclipse. )

Oh and I think Selena & Taylor would be so cute.

Yes, I agree with Allie, because the boys in “Team Wolf” have native american heritage, Vanessa has to have the same.. but that’s Chris Weits call.. Does Taylor ? but I guess he was Jacob in Twilight so. Tracy, I’ve read that a few people don’t like Nikki Reed , what’s with the Nikki Reed bashing ”Did I miss something? On the other hand Vanessa might want to do some more serious roles and not be type cast for light-hearted, musical movies. Remember a lot of people “thought” Rob was wrong for Edward but look what happened. Nobody can imagine anyone else playing Edward now.
The only thing I would like to add is that Vanessa looks too young for Leah, I mean wasn’t Leah and Sam High School sweethearts before he imprinted on Emily. Chaske and Tinsel look older than Vanessa, so that might be another reason for Vanessa not to get the part of Leah, but this is Hollywood and anything can happen, right…

I have never seen Vanessa in anything, so can’t judge her acting ability. I do think she has the right look for Leah but as others have said, she might be too young for the part. I would have no problem with her getting the part though. If she auditions and she wins the role, more power to her. I like Nikki and thought she did a great job as Rosalie.

Vanessa does have some Native American, I’m not sure how much. I don’t really see her as being Leah Clearwater. I love Leah Clearwater and I’m not a big fan of Vanessa’s. Also Leah is bitter, angry, and a bitch. I can’t see Vanessa playing that.

They did THIRTEEN together, that’s probably how they’re friends. I’m not a disney fan ( in any way shape or form), and I doubt the new director would allow Hudgens, Stewart, Pattinson, and Fanning to be put on the same script. Hell no.

I believe Vanessa is Filipino…but yeah, they’re probably long time friends from 13. I’ve never seen pictures of them until now, but I guess it’s cool that they’re friends. Not a fan of Vanessa, but I know they’ll pick someone good or at least decent for Leah.

On nikki’s right you have vanessa who would make leah break out in song and dance and then on nikki’s left you have Sage – who i think would make an awesome leah! She has a feirce look about her, native american, she’s tall enough to be a werewolf and she doesnt have long hair! And another thing, when Nikki went to syd for a convention she told us that she was rooting for Sage to be Emily but because emily has already been casted i wouldnt be surprised if Nikki tried to get Sage to audition for Leah!

Lol, EmilyLautner, thank you. I’m reading all of these comments and I’m thinking “Geez guys, they’re just friends. Just because Vanessa is an annoying actress doesn’t mean that she and Nikki can’t be friends.” Seriously, chill. The fact that they’re hanging out and shopping together absolutely does not even begin to guarantee that Vanessa will have a part in one of the movies lol.
