Another week, another contest! We are very excited to announce a brand new and very unique Twilighters Anonymous contest. This contest is sponsored by the great Twilight inspired artist, Midnight Sun.
 

Below are the prizes:

First Prize:
One lucky first prize winner will win a signed CD from Midnight Sun, and their winning lyrics will be turned into a song and featured on the next Midnight Sun album, due out later this year!


Second Prize:
TWO second prize winners will each receive a signed CD from Midnight Sun!

Contest Instructions:

  • Submit your own ‘Twilight’ saga inspired song lyrics!
  • Send your entries to TAcontest@TwiRock.com

    • Rules:

  • Lyrics must be related to any book in the Twilight Saga
  • Lyrics cannot contain excessive profanity (keep it PG-13 please)
  • Lyrics must contain at least 2 Verses and 1 Chorus
  • Deadline: All entries must be submitted by Friday, March 6th, 2009 by 12pm PST.

  • You may post your entries below, but please note that ONLY those sent to the designated e-mail address will be eligible.
  • The author of the winning lyrics will get credit for their lyrics on the album.

  • By submitting lyrics to the competition, you are hereby agreeing that all lyrics are immediately property of TwilightersAnonymous.com and Euterpe Music (Midnight Sun Publisher) and that no royalties or compensation, other than signed cd if picked as winner, will be given at any time.     Hope people fully read and understand that disclaimer and what it is they are giving up. Living in a music industry town and being a writer myself, that disclaimer would be enough to make most run in the other direction. Feels a bit like taking advantage of others talents to me.

    I totally sent mine in.. I wrote mine monthes ago
    I really hope say whoever wins will at least get credit for writing the song in the first place and the band for putting it to music. I love to write music and Lyrics I just really hope that they do something like that it would be nice and mean that we’re not totally being taken advantage of!

    Suzemb, I realize what you’re saying…and that is kind of scary. But if it’s only one song, that’s not quite as bad as saying anything you ever write won’t get any royalties. I mean, I don’t care about getting paid so much as about getting credit. The part that really makes me hesitate to enter is the whole “changing things without prior consent” thing. I’ve heard so many horror stories about the original vision getting lost that I’m not sure I want to risk. But I don’t think TA would do that. I think it would just be good for the winner to get their name out there, you know?

    Yeah i sent mine in. I’m only fourteen, but i’ve secretly written songs for years. My best friend, the only one who knows i write, like forced me. I really hope they read them all. Good luck to everyone btw!

    I entered. Yeah, the “lyrics” were pre-written in my “Bored and Depressed” notebook. I hardly think I’ll even come close to winning, but hey, it was exciting for those 5 minutes of typing. Good luck to everyone else! Can’t wait to see the winners and the song!
