TA STAFF RESPONDS: MIDNIGHT SUN/DARK HIGH NOON PROJECT
In the Entertainment Weekly article that we posted yesterday, Stephenie Meyer discusses how she hopes to resume Midnight Sun once she is in the right place again - which she suggests will be after two years of not hearing any talk about the book. After reading this article, The Twilight Lexicon had a member suggest that we begin to refer to the book as “Dark High Noon” so Stephenie wouldn’t have to hear the words “Midnight Sun” for a few years. (To read the full story, click here.)
A few members of the TA staff have voiced their opinions on the subject and we’ve decided to post them here:
Jacob Black:The Dark High Noon Initiative is a great way to get the Twilight fandom enthused about Stephenie Meyer even considering continuing with MS. Stephenie has already graced us with some of her best works with the Twilight saga. Midni… err Dark High Noon would’ve just been the icing on the cake.
We were all devastated when DHN came to a halt since it was all we could think about as fans as the next stage after Breaking Dawn. As frustrated as I was, I also know that Writing is an art. There’s also a critical process to it that we all need to respect. We can’t rush creativity, especially since everyone has a different way of expressing it. We can encourage and nurture it but rushing it would not bring about the results that she nor we, as fans, expect. I’m torn between giving Stephenie our nudge of encouragement and leaving her well alone to go about her own pace.
To summarize, I know I’ve been the recipient to her many creative products and I’m very thankful for it. I know that if it wasn’t for her, TwilightersAnonymous.com wouldn’t be alive. Bottom line is she needs write it for herself, not for other people and we should just accept DNH as a gift it if ever were to come about.
Wolfsbane:
Stephenie Meyer’s EW interview put my mind at ease. As someone who’s waited 3 years for the final book in another series (and still waiting), I can at least rest well knowing MS is coming. She’s made clear in the interview that the leak devastated her and she’s totally within her rights to have been bothered and reacted the way she did. Now that it’s been somewhat cleared up, I’m glad to know that she’s even given us the time frame for when she’ll attempt to tackle the completion of the book.
What do I think of the DHN initiative tho? I might be stepping on some toes when I say this, but in all seriousness, I think we should just drop the subject. No renaming, no code words, no nothing. We’ve been given enough assurance by SM that we will one day be able to get into Edward’s head in MS by Stephenie herself. Lets leave her alone, try to avoid all the speculation, and rejoice in the fact she’ll even pick up the project again. We can show our support for Stephenie in countless other ways, but I believe to even start calling MS by any other name is just added pressure on her on an already sore subject. Lets give her the two years of peace she’s surely earned, to find herself and the frame of mind she needs to be in to complete the project.
Bella Cullen:
While I’m glad SM addressed when she might tackle the book we’re all anticipating…My first thought was still “E-gats 2 years!” My following thought was does she really think there will come a time when everyone will have forgotten about it? In my opinion the answer to that is a resounding “No.” Which immediately made me worry that she might never be inclined to tackle the book again. I began to panic…get anxious…sweat. Okay, maybe that’s TMI…but what’s a fan to do!
I know the leak hurt SM badly…but the repercussions were devasting for the fans too. I know I’d be willing to do practically anything to help along the book. So when the idea came up for Project Dark High Noon, I knew immediately I’d be on board. It certainly can’t hurt. And what a great way for fans to unite on an idea to get us through this ordeal.
Team Switzerland:
Just as Bella was, I was stunned by the Entertainment Weekly article and at the prospect of us having to wait two years (or possibly more) for Stephenie to decide to pick up Midnight Sun again. However, after the initial shock wore off, I began to realize that this is what we have all been waiting for: assurance that Stephenie would still continue with the book. Whether we wait 2 months, 2 years, or 10 years, there is still some hope for the future that Midnight Sun will sit on our bookshelves next to the rest of the series.
Regarding the Dark High Noon project, I think the idea is a great one. Ideally, I wish we could all obey Stephenie’s wishes and not mention the book, but we have to be realistic. We constantly surround ourselves with Twilight and we’ve been waiting for Midnight Sun for ages, so it would be nearly impossible to drop the name from our vocabulary entirely. I think the DHN project is a great way to compromise and I give major props to Patience and The Lex for thinking of a great alternative.
To read the opinion of DawnNoelle, read the initial EW post.
So now that we’ve all gotten off our soapboxes, we give you the chance to get on yours:
What are your opinions of what Stephenie said about Midnight Sun and the Dark High Noon project?

Im elated that she’s ressuming…Dark High Noon, lol. I found that manuscript to be utterly fascinating. What struck me was how much dialog went on in Edwards mind compared to Bellas. It was written to show how much faster they can think and absorbe then us. It was fascinating and I feel relieved! Id wait ten years just to get my paws on it!
Frankly, I was relieved and started squeeling like a little girl when I read it. I was so beyond happy that she finally addressed the issue and put a pretty firm stamp that she will get back to it in, hopefully, a couple of years. That’s fine I’ll wait. I told my friend about it and she told me, “In two years, you’ll forget about that.” UUUUMMMM HELL NO, I WON’T, was my exact response. This series has inpacted my life beyond words are able to describe and with the movies pretty much being a sure thing to ALL get made, ain’t no way I’ll be forgetting this.
As per the new name of DHN, that’s fine. I’ll use it.
I don’t know about refering to the book by a code name but I am glad to see that Meyer has finally given us more insight into what she feels will happen with the project. And yes, after the inital hype of the movie dies down we will all go back into wait mode and will rejoice the day the book is published how Meyer wants it. Some of us may falter and read what she has on her site from it but I for one hope she takes the leaked chapters down. We’ll be there when she is ready. That’s what true fans do.
if this will give us back the book I’m game. But i must admit that I feel SM is being a bit childish about this. She has every right to be mad but why punish her millions of readers for the fault of a few? this is truly harsh, for us and for the character of Edward. he’s the only major character who wasn’t allowed to speak and that is so not fair.
In short, SM owes it to herself, us, and Edward to pick up this book asap -not in two years or so- but within a year or so. any more time than that will be a true injustice to her fans who cannot, however they try to forget the unique title of this precious book, given that this is how our Edward sees his Bella.
I cannot let go of the book’s title at heart but like the Lex, Team Switzerland, and Bella Cullen decided, i too will follow through with the new plan. but will continue praying for a much earlier release :p
i loved mid…i mean dark high noon! i never used to be a big Edward fan but after reading it i started to love him! but Jacob still has a special place in my heart =D!!!
I am relieved that SM feels she can eventually pick MS back up. That is enough for me. Just a little bit of hope gets me a long way. As far as the code name, I don’t feel the need to use one. SM has asked us not to mention it any further so I am willing to comply. So I agree with wolfsbane. And I don’t believe she is trying to punish the readers. I understand from a writters view, if someone took the love out of a character you can’t further that relationship(writting). I just hope that she wants to finish it for herself, not for anyone else. If it is for the publishers or readers only then it wont be even half as good. Now that I feel that I have ranted, I hope I haven’t offended anyone.
okay, well I basically already responded to this in the earlier post about the interview w/Stephenie Meyer, so I’m just gonna copy and paste my response from earlier here (yes I’m too lazy to rewrite it):
OME I am SOOOOOOO happy (even that’s not stressing the “so” enough) that she’s still planning on writing Midnight Sun eventually….. OME best news I’ve had since…. well, since I heard they were gonna make a Twilight movie. AWESOME!!! and imo, she can take 5 years if she needs it, as long as she DOES eventually publish it, I will be happy. It’s the possibility that she might NEVER publish it that had me upset, so as long as she actually DOES publish it eventually, I will be happy- SOOOOO happy (fangirl squee)…
So, yeah, that’s basically it… and I just wanna say I’m very excited that MS/DHN will eventually be published, and I’m also very glad that I never read the 12 chapters she posted. oh yeah, and the whole “DHN” thing is a great idea; I’ll call it by whatever name- I really could not care less, I’d call it “stinky feet” if I had to, as long as the book will eventually be published
I agree with Habiba. It’s really not our fault that someone SM trusted decided to betray that trust. Don’t get me wrong, she has every reason to be angry and I’m ecstatic that it will be published the (fairly) near future, but the fans that had nothing to do with the leak don’t deserve to be punished. And sure, it’s upsetting when someone releases unfinished work, but it’s not like we were bashing it; on the contrary, we adored it. I don’t think it’s anything to be embarrassed about, and I think she’s being selfish to withhold the book from us.
OME!! (Twi-Hard squeeee) I’m EXTREMELY happy to hear that Stephenie Meyer is ready to give Midni… Dark High Noon a chance!!! I don’t think I’ve been this happy for like…. EVER!!
Also, it is such a GREAT idea to start referring to it as Dark High Noon… I just hope it’ll get around and people will stop calling it Mid… its original title… Let’s all team up and try to get this all around the net!
Unfortunetly, as good as this idea is, I am afraid some Twi-haters might start posting things about the book.
Anyhow, I just hope Stephenie Meyer will resume the redaction of the book before the two-year passes. Personally, I can’t wait two years. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the pain that the leek has caused, but two years just seems like an eternity. So lets just hope that she’ll recognize our initiative and that’ll give her the motivation and, maybe even, help her get over (not forget, but get over) the pain that was caused by the leek.
On that note, lets get the word around; Give Dark High Noon a chance!!
Stand together, Twilighters and Twi-Hards!
-Bells.
2years?? really?
I’m excited to hear that she’s writing it…. but I agree with Emily..
I suppose it takes her longer to recover than others…
I love you Steph!!!
I have mixed feelings toward SM’ decision. Even though she said “oh, two years, maybe,” she had been promising us this book before, and took it away after everyone was so looking forward to it. I’m a writer too, and I’d be upset if someone I trusted with a manuscript leaked it, but I
would accept that it was my fault, I wouldn’t punish my fans.
I love SM and I really want to see what she would do with MS/DHN, but because I feel betrayed by her, I don’t want to read anything not Twilight related by her. My way of expressing my love for her creativity and respect for her as a writer, and also my disapproval of the way she has treated her most loyal fans.
The Dark High Noon idea is cool but that would require convincing Twilight fans to do it, right? How about another suggestion? How about if Stephenie Meyer would just delete or cancel the idea of MS/DHN. Make people/fans believe that she won’t finish it ever so we’ll all be forced to forget about it. Then maybe if the fans think Midnight Sun is history, they would shut up about it. How about that? I’m sorry I’m new at this, but I’m desperate to find a way for SM to finish MS/DHN. My apologies…
I’m so excited to hear that SM will continue with MS/DHN. We’ve had a chance to see bella’s and even jacob’s perspective. But what I was really wanting to see was Edward’s take on things. It was a thrill having a chance to read the first couple of chapters from MS…Hmm would it be too much to ask for SM to give Edward’s perspective on all four books?! haha, *sigh*. Anyways, i’m glad and thankful to SM for reconsidering her decision. I’ll definately be waiting for MS/DHN…i just hope it won’t be too long.
I love Stephenie Meyer. I confess, I got my “Edward fix” with the few chapters of MS that she put in her web page. Those 200 or so pages helped me to see and understand Edward better. So I’m done now. As far as I’m concerned, ANYTHING she wants to write (as long as it deals with vampires/werewolves/Cullen saga is fine with me! I’d love to read about Leah. I’d love to read about Jacob. I’d love to read about Nessie. I’d love to read about the lawyer in Seattle (what was his name?) who was freaked out during BD.
In fact, I’ve been thinking that I’d love to see a whole new novel by Stephenie Meyer…. about Alice’s neice in Biloxi!! Remember, she was mentioned briefly. I could probably keep poor SM busy for the rest of her life with my requests for MORE (always more!!) books!!
I saw the movie before reading the books, but was so entranced that I bought the whole set. I read them all within 5 days, and just want more! I devoured everything from her website with verocity. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I came across “Midnight Sun”. What happened with the leak was a true shame, and I hope she can put it behind her soon and give us the rest of Edward’s side (sooner than 2 years). I also hope that she feels compelled to continue on with the other books, and fills the voids of what he is thinking and drives the decisions he’s made, especially when he felt there was no alternative but to leave. I’ve never reacted to a story in this way before, and glad there are others that share my passion.
Wow that is the best news! I will totally refer to it as Dark High Noon lol just to get her to write it again! But yeah I totally respect that she needs her space. Having a manuscript leaked on the net like that must be quite upsetting because she probably felt so insecure that it was so bad, raw and undeveloped (although I LOVED it!) but I can imagine that she must be annoyed about that happening - obviously she wants everyone to read the perfected editted version not the beginning first draft! But yeah it shall be called Dark High Noon from now on so that Stephanie can get back into the mood of writing these beloved books again!!
I absolutly LLLOOOVVVEEE twilight and am so looking forward to ‘Dark High Noon’ so much!!! I respect that she needs time before she continues with DHN but i want her to know that there are alot of faithful twilight people out there that, like me, refuse to read the copyright ‘DHN’ chapters on the internet. We are waiting patiently (and somewhat grudgingly)for her to continue so we can sink our teeth into this book too!
we love you Steph
The whole big hype around DHN in my opinion is to bring more publicity to it. The book will come out earlier… Like someone said in one of the comments : people will forget about it in 2 years
Meyer has to capitalize on the whole “Twilight” fenomenon now, while it is “hot”. Look what happened to Harry Potter … It isn’t as popular as it was in the first place
It is a common fact that people get bored of everything very fast and move to new things
But that is only my opinion…
im so so so sad she isn’t writing the “book 5″ (as i am calling it cause its difficult for me). my mother bought me the series for christmas and they just got in this past monday and i read all 4 of them in four days. i was so emotionaly drawn to the books. it is absolutly horrible someone leaked the book in that way. its unbearibly frustrating. i hope that the person(s) ressponsible got whatever they wanted from the untastefull action. its is disrespectfull to stephenie in so many ways. i really hope that she can finish the book. it is so hard to just have to be done. it kills me. i have only been a fan for a week but i am as hurt by this as anyone else! i was so looking forward to reading though edward…he is an amazing character it would (maybe in the futer will) be an amazing book to read!
I pray that she writes MS….the first book and the movie created this deep and emotional attachment to Edward, but books 2-4 completely took that away an made him seem like he faded into the background. They focused SO MUCH on Jacob that I wish I hadn’t read them at all. I wanted more Edward and Bella. Not this immature furry jerk of a best friend that she has this freakish attachment to. His character could have been great…but I think it was overkill on the Jacob aspect of the series. And then he gets his own book in book 4, which I personally didn’t care for, but Edward never got to give his side of things. So it’s almost as if he’s owed it. He’s the one Twilight revolved around. He’s the one we fell for. He’s the one we want more of. I almost feel cheated. Ugh….I pretty much hate Jacob now. =[
I got a idea if she breaks her promise we should start a raid and remind her who made her famous and rich to begin with!
I was instantly addicted to this series. I am also totally devestated i have to wait up to 2 years to get Edwards story. I am even more upset that Stephanie doesnt start a new series starting right where she left off. i want to know more about where they go from here! There is so much more to write! Until then i will sit here and sulk until i find a new series to read.
I agree with Habiba. Childish is the term I and my friends have been using for some time. Although I understand tht SM was upset about the leak (and rightly so) many other authors have had similar things happen with their writings and have not reacted in this way. I honestly feel that SM was upset not only about the leak of her story but also about the mixed reviews/reactions that BD received. I think her feelings were hurt and that she simply reacted…and not very professionally.
I do hope that she will one day be able to see this and resume writing MS. I have no intention of referring it it by any code name, though. I think (as others have mentioned) that we should probably just drop it. She’ll write it when she wants to—she’s already proven that she doesn’t really respond that well to the fan’s needs.
Sorry–that’s just how I feel.
i think its not fair that all her fans hav eto wait tahat never saw teh whole book and its not fair becuz i mean DUH how could we not talk about it
shes becoming conceited and one of teh cliche artistes who think that there creative path has been ruined
well suck it up
we have been waiting for this book forever!
and its not fair that she sya shes not gonna write it cuz some dufas relased it
we have all sucked it up for years
i mean the least she could do was not be so conceited and disrespectful to her fans about it
What I read of (MS) it was enjoyable it rounded out the “Twilight Series”, I could see her writing a series matching book for book on his perception, a complete picture.
There are many messages in this book and I’m glad that Stephanie got those messages across; she stuck to the old fashion beliefs, marriage before desire. Giving into desire can complicate and change your life permanently, and according to her character Edward not a good thing, if your not prepare for the outcome. She did a good job in bring back those old fashion values that teens get so confuse about, learning patience, self discipline and explains the turmoil, she makes a point in showing that a relationship should be cultivate, no peer pressure here, the character is strong she (Bella) knows what she wants. It’s a good series on many levels. How can you not look at your own personal relationship and not compare, and wonder, are you settling?
In my opinion, I feel, MS should be completed it helps the reader to see that underlying messages, not just the fluff. It shows that family is very important and that Edward does have a responsible to his family, to Bella, to society and its’ not just about him, his decisions will have a profound effect on everyone, like I said, it rounds out the series and you can’t help but analysis the underlying messages.
Thank you, for letting me share, my opinion.

when i read about MD on SM’s offical website it left me wanting more. when i heard that SM wasent going to finsh MD i was like in total shock i was like noooo!!!! at first i wouldnt even touch twilight–or a twilight related book because it didnt feel like the story was complete after i heard SM decision. eventhough i know it was horrible feat from someone to leak MD. i was horrifide i wanted to kick something. BUT! when i heard she was going to finsih i couldnt help but get up dance! (not literally) but then she said “Maybe in two years” my heart sank i love good books and i want to hear more from Edward’s perspective! i have so fell for him even though he overreacts on everything! i really hope MD finsihes the book so all of her adoring fans including me can read it! i believe it will be just as good or even better than Twilight! please SM finish the book so we dont have to wait anymore!
I think that every one should just forget about MS and hopefully SM will/ can actually get to writing the book, so that we can all enjoy it when its published. Maybe if we all stopped writnig about it and actually forgot about it like she asked, then she would continue writing MS. So this is going to be the only post i will write, about this “situtation”. To set a good example for all you other Twilight fans, we should all listen to SM good advice and try to make it easier for her to write properly without any out side influence. Good Luck
I’m glad that she’s going to write the book, at least that is what I think she is saying between the lines. I understand that she’s overwhelmed right now with the making and releasing of the movies. I want her to have true time to write Edward’s POV. When you go on her website she describes in length what it means to her to tell Edward’s story and that is exactly how I feel about him too. So I know that at one point she had a real passion for it. She may have even done it for all of them. I can understand if she said, I’m overwhelmed and want to give me and Edward the time that we need to be together so that I can tell HIS story perfectly. What confuses me is when she says she doesn’t want to hear talk of it anymore. WHAT?!?! You don’t want us to love your books and beg and plead for more? You want us to stop buying them, reading them, talking about them or even seeing the movies? You want us to take down all the web sites and just move on so that you can write the book? REally? Cause that is what it feels like when she says that. Look, just say yes, I have every intention of writing it but not at this time. IT will be a few years till I can do it justice and then leave it at that. All authors take their time writing a book and if you really want it to be good people you’ll have to accept the length of time but please, stop with all the double talk about how you might write it but only after people stop talking about it and have moved on because if we’ve moved on then what would be the point of writing it?
well she’s the writer and when a writer wants to write a very good one should be very inclined in doing it, so we shouldnt hurry her or something… i can wait patiently… go SM….
I had an OME moment when i heard that I and every other fan would have to wait 2 WHOLE YEARS for her to just START BACK WORKING on Midnight Sun or Dark High somethin..idk But anyways at first i was mad that she would even think to make us wait that long but after i read the partial draft that she had on her website it was so amazing that i realized….i dont care how long it takes for this book to come out…yeah it would be nice if it came out soon but ill be happy if it ever comes out…lol
-Hannah
I agree with you all I‘m happy that SM is going to finish MS one day, but I think making a code name for it is a dishonor to her. She said in EW that the biggest thing that keeps her from finishing the book is everyone is trying to give their views on how she should tell her OWN story. Know you are renaming her book. If it does take here two years or more to finish MS. Everyone will be use to the name DNH therefore you are in a roundabout way renaming her book. There for you are again robbing her of her wrights yet again. I know you’re just trying to help but she is not a three year that you can use some code around and think she won’t know the difference. I think we should just honor her wishes and leave it alone.
I am terribly saddened that a trusted person would do that to SM or anyone for that matter. It was an invasion that I can not comprehend as obviously SM can’t either. I do not blame SM for being upset and frustrated. I hope she knows what a terrible injustice it would be to the series not to have Edwards voice heard. Injustice to herself and her fans. Edwards gives us “adult fans” the opportunity to see a more mature POV and obviously a much “sexier” POV. I will wait, in hope, that she resumes soon. She could make incredible history writing this entire series again from Edwards POV, what an amazing talent she has. I think she would sell even more with that series, not that selling more is her concern right now as I am sure she is still hurt and healing.
i’ve seen that this book is supposed to come out in october of 2009 (maybe 2010 so dont be mad if i’m wrong but i know its october so yay!)whoever spread the book alover the internet is messed up, and they should feel really bad about that. wouldnt stephenie meyer see that people are reffering to the book by a different name and know people are talking about it? it wouldnt matter who called the book the real or fake titles.
when i heared that SM stoped working on mid- or DHN i was so sad! i love edward and i want to read MS PUBLISHED soon.i am not a very patient person,i don’t want to wait long but if SM wants to wait then…. but at least SM will finish it someday.
Midnight Sun was great and I hope she finishes it. I think a great and unusual way for her to release it would be for it to be an audio book read by Rob. I would love to hear his voice narrate the entire story! It would be even better than reading it. OME!
I hope SM gets done soon but if she wants to wait i don’t want it to be rushed. I’m just glad she’s writing, her other materpieces were so addictive, so i hope DHN is the same. Even though i am usually not patient i will wait for another brilliant piece by SM. I was just overly excited to hear, for a first, that she is writing another piece. I hope for the best and i know when i speak,i speak for the fans.Go SM!!! Your the best writer on this planet.
Ok first of all let me say that I love the whole Twilight Series and I am anxiously awaiting Midnight Sun yes I said it lol but can I just say that this whole situation is getting a little out of hand come on we can’t even say the name of the book anymore are we supposed to act like it doesn’t exist at all lol I dunno I just wish that Stephenie would write the book as soon as possible and not be offended by the fact that everyone wants to read it what happened with the draft copy being linked to the internet happened already its in the past let’s move on
I HOPE THERES A FITH MOVIE IT WOULD BE ALSOME AND I NEED ANOTHER BOOK TO READ I WISH SHE COULD ADD A HALF WEREWOLF AND HAVE VAMPIRE HYBRID IN THE MIX I HAVE TONS OF IDEAS IVE DREAMT ABOUT
I wonder if someone could create their own version of Twilight, continuing the Saga so to say.
Although completly understandable,it is very difficult for all SM’s fan’s to consider that this story might not ever be finished evan under another name-”A Rose by Anyother Name” (is still a Rose!) I, myself am not one of the Teen-age crowd-But Totally commited to The Twlight Saga.Obsessed! It is actually painful for me to think there would be no more of this Absoutly Awsome Story. I am hoping that SM will sooner rather than later see her way clear to start writing MS again. AND maybe consider (Oh Boy, Here it Comes) writing 3 more books after MS- to correspond to each of the Twlight Books—Also maybe adding another book or two to the Twlight Saga’s. So now if SM reads this, I am sure she will totally hate me for evan thinking along this line, but who knows? NEVER SAY NEVER! They would be worth waiting for. SM -Love you, you are a true genius-keep the faith!
Habiba, how can you feel that Stephenie’s being “childish” if you truly understand? As a writer, I can relate to the immense amount of pressure there is if you’re writing a book and constantly thinking about how others will see it. The best result will be by writing it for one’s self. Stephenie can’t do that right now while the whole situation is being screamed at her from all sides, can she?
Look at the positive side. If we have to wait a whole two years, won’t that continue the Twilight legacy? If you’re a Harry Potter fan, like me, then when the last book came out, did you also feel a sense of closure and sadness that the series was over? With a wait for Dark High Noon, the series will continue for at least another two years.
I hope she will finish the book soon. I would love to see Robert Pattinson read it for the Audio book version. How great would that be??? To have Midnight Sun, Dark High Noon, Glowing Orb in the Dead of Night…whatever you want to call it…read by the voice we have all come to love as Edward Cullen!
It’s a clever enough idea, but it could never work. I mean it’s not like Stephanie doesn’t know that everyone is actually talking about the book. The title isn’t the issue, it’s that everyone would still be talking about it. Instead of “encouraging” her to write Midnight Sun, we should set our minds to her other works or completely new ideas for the Twilight world. Myself, I wouldn’t mind having an Alice book where she is finally able to solve the mystery of her past. A Renesmee book would be awesome as well. There would be so many possibilites especially because Stephanie left Breaking Dawn so open. Renesmee could be a teenager going to Forks High (or wherever the Cullens may be at that point) and the Volturi could come back to see if she is dangerous or not. Maybe something happens where the Cullens get that big group of vampires that previously witnessed for them and take the Volturi down. In that case the Cullens, another group, or no one would all could take over. Would chaos and revolt ensue? Jacob would obviously be a huge part, but what about the other immortal child that was introduced? Stephanie Meyer could do so many things with Renesmee. She has already assured us that at some point she WILL finish Midnight Sun. So let’s be patient. After all when it does get published, she will probably be more inclined to write the other three books from Edward’s perspective.
