UPDATE ON THE MUCH MUSIC CONTEST

In an earlier post we brought you information about the MUCH MUSIC contest. TA member Hunni is back with more information:

Here’s the deal – it is a need to watch everyday thing…everyday they will be giving you a phrase that you need to write down with one highlighted word each phrase. That is the word you really need to remember. On Friday they will call one person or one person will call in.(not sure about this part) You will need every highlighted word to win the trip to LA premiere….

I didn’t get all of today’s phrase. I can watch again tomorrow morning and get it. But I do know the highlighted word today was “VAMPIRE” I will get the phrase although from what I understand you only need the word (but better safe than sorry.)

I think the whole phrase was:

vampires are not real but vampire bats are real. they are from brazil, chile and argentina

I don’t normally watch MOD that often… but im definitley tuning in this week. i’m dying to go .. i have a piece of paper on my fridge just waiting for all the phrases lol.
Does anyone know how you get them to call you .. i went to the website but there wasn’t much info .. I really need them to gte my number lol.

the red word for monday is either “VAMPIRE”, which it says above, or “VAMPIRES” which would make more sense before todays word of “suck”

Hey, I have so far all the high-lighted words. I dont understand the rules…they call us? or do we call them? how do the know our number?
I have checked muchmusic.com and found no information. Does anyone know?

hey, so apparently
on friday you type in the phrase or words on the much site(i think)
and on monday they will call someone BUT you have to be watching
MOD because if you say “hello” then they hang up on you.
So basically you have to watch and see when they call someone
and if your phone rings you HAVE to say the phrase you cant say hello.
its kinda confusing but right now on mod after the break they are explaining
the rules if you are still confused.

and they decided to open the contest today. you can got to the muchmusic website and enter now.
origninally they werent planning to open the contest until friday, but by popular demand they decided to open the contest for entrys today!

HOW WILL I KNOW IF SOMEONE FROM MUCHMUSIC
IS CALLING ME ABOUT A CONTEST?
You’ll get a call between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time from someone in either the MuchMusic Promotions department or the MuchMusic Website department. That person will simply give you their name, say they’re from MuchMusic, and ask you to call back MuchMusic headquarters at 416-591-7400, followed by a 4-digit extension. When you call back that number, you will reach that same MuchMusic employee or her/his voicemail. That SAME person will then call you back and start the contest process.

soo i guess thats how it works? this is going on, friday im pretty sure thats what tim says. if you win, you will be called on Friday/

to sign up you have to go to the MOD website.

i i honestly have no idea about the calling thing… i mean i just copy and pasted what the website said.
i think they call you first to warn you or something.. so you pick up your phone?

They cant call someone because the secret phrase isnt complete yet. We still dont have the final word. I’m pretty sure they are going to give us the final word today on MOD and THEN they are going to call the winner before the end of the show.

is there any way that one of you lovies who will be watching could come and post todays final word. Some of us will not be able to watch the live one and WOW would it suck to get the phone call and not have the final word. I mean, it would REALLY suck lol
