URBAN RUSH: NEW INTERVIEW WITH TINSEL KOREY

Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily Young in the Twilight Saga films, was on Urban Rush – a Canadian entertainment talk show based out of Vancouver – this past Thursday to talk about her new gig. In this great new interview, Tinsel discusses her character and how she nabbed the coveted role, what she did to prepare for New Moon, how crazy things have been since she landed the role, but how she has managed to avoid the paparazzi thus far, and much more. Wow. I have so much respect for her. I am so impressed that she did a fund raiser for the Native American tribes depicted in the book. What a wonderful way to show her appreciation and for fans to show their appreciation. I wish I could have participated.

Funny I don’t see where she says she USED the native culture to get ahead and lied about her heritage.I’ll have to watch it again to see where she admits ‘how she nabbed the coveted role’

I just love how the people who try and point out the truth about Harsha Patel are now being labelled haters by many within the Native entertainment industry – apparently with the support of people she cut out of the role – doesn’t cultural appropriation matter anymore?

I agree she’s a lovely person but when I met her, (which is when, as they say, I saw Harsha “written all over her face”) I got the distinct impression that all this pretense is slowly killing her and the best thing she could do for her own health is simply ‘fess up!
