VARIETY: JODELLE FERLAND JOINS CAST OF ‘ECLIPSE’ ?

According to Variety, Jodelle Ferland has just been cast in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Thesp Jodelle Ferland (“Silent Hill”) is the latest addition to the “Twilight” franchise, joining “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” as a vampire who has just been turned.

Ferland was most recently seen in the CBS telepic “Pictures of Hollis Woods.” She can be seen next in the thriller “Case 39″ with Renee Zellweger.

Variety does tend to be a good source of information, but remember nothing is for certain until we hear it from Summit. Still, to me this does sound like Jodelle could be playing the part of Bree. Bree is the only female character that comes to mind as “a vampire who has just been turned”.

oh my gosh… i like seriously petitioned for this girl for jane (no offense dakota) even before twilight came out… so i was disappointed when they cast dakota. and now they are casting her for bree? weird… maybe because her name just kept getting thrown into the saga…

I always imagined Bree as an almost anime-ish, schoolgirl type (with the uniform and all) and Jodelle certainly has the big eyes to pull it off. I think she’ll be great!

LOVES IT. Although Jodelle was the one I wanted to play Jane, but I’ll take her as Bree (if that is the character she’s playing), but I’m just happy that she’s in the movie!!!!!

How awesome! This girl was always the young Adria in Stargate SG-1. She’s also done an episode for Stargate Atlantis. :3 Can’t wait to see her in this. ^_^

I HATED her in Silent Hill. She cannot act. I can already picture her as Bree in my mind and she is gonna mess up the whole movie. I hope this is not going to happen. She’s horrible.

i cannot believe this! Bree is like, supposed to be 16! and if they are going to cast someone who is 13 why not cast someone who LOOKS thirteen! it is seriously screwed up.
