VARIETY: ROBERT, TAYLOR, KRISTEN, AND CHRIS SCHEDULED TO ATTEND COMIC CON
Variety is reporting that Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart will all be making their grand return to Comic Con next week. These three will also be joined by New Moon director Chris Weitz. Sad news though: if Variety’s reports are correct, you won’t be seeing many (if any) interviews from Mr. Pattinson. Read below for more:
Thursday’s crazy madness will be the Twilight: New Moon panel. Heartthrob Rob Pattinson will appear (reminder: must pack earplugs) with co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner and director Chris Weitz, but lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen isn’t the main character in the movie, so Pattinson won’t participate in any backstage interviews. Summit is screening Twilight for the fans with cast members on hand. Summit is scheduled to film the third installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, from August 17 through October 31 in Vancouver with David Slade (30 Days of Night) directing Melissa Rosenberg’s screenplay.

I am happy to hear that Rob, Taylor, Kristen, and Chris will be in attendance! It will really bring things full circle from last year and I can’t wait to see what’s in store. I guess it’s bittersweet that Rob will (reportedly) not be doing any interviews, because on one hand, we love hearing from him, but on the other hand I’m sure he would welcome the break.

I love hearing this kind of report from the cast members sorry to hear that Rob is not doing any interviews but we don’t want to push to hard we want him to have his privacy and ability to relax between productions. I think it makes for a more positive working relationship between the actors.
I have tickets for comic con. This confirmation has made me even more excited to attend. Hopefully I am able to make it into the panel. *fingers crossed*
Does anyone know what time on Thursday we will be able to get our passes? I only have the 1 day pass and I really want to see the panel! Do you know approximately how many people will be allowed in? Also I would really like to meet up with people from TA, so where will you all be?
I was offered to go to Comic Con this summer, but the thought of going alone would suck! Okay, so next year… I better have some friends who will actually go with me!

It sucks that Rob will not be doing interviews though I can appreciate that he could use the rest from all the harassment in NYC for the past couple of months.
And no offense to the Werewolf fans out there but the heart and soul of New Moon is still Bella and Edward, they are what motivates everything that happens. And though the werewolves add an interesting twist and their story and Jacob’s takes over 300 pages, it still to me, is not the essence of the book.
Edward’s absence in those pages, doesn’t lessen his presence in your mind when you are reading, but then I am a die hard Team Edward fan.

Rob deserves a reast. He’s finishing Remember me then jumping right on a plane to Comic Con. Poor guy will be running on jet fumes! Plus Im positive that we’ll get plenty of witty remarks from Rob in his slick brit accent. YUM!
In response to Christina’s question, you can start picking up your badges at 900 am. Comic Con opens at 9:30, the panel is at 1:45, I believe, in Hall H. I’m going with my two kids and I’m trying to be as prepared as possible. Comic Con is insane and because of the kids I’m bringing snacks, water, Nintendo DS, stuff to keep them occupied while we’re waiting in the lines. I told my husband, I will cry if I don’t get into the room, I don’t care if I’m a mile away from the panel, I just want my kids and I to have a glimpse of them, to just hear them speak, that’s all I want and I will seriously cry if I don’t. I live about 15 minutes away from the convention center but I’m planning on taking the trolley in whick will take a little longer but wow, I’ve never been stressed about Comic Con like I am this year. Oh and it has absolutely nothing to do with my OCD. Ha Ha! Anyway, I will try to take pics and send them in to TA and to everyone that’s going, just remember to have fun! We’re all there for one reason and it’s a mutual love/adoration so people watch while waiting in the horrendous lines and have a great time!

WOW!!!! I’m super excited!!! I’m going to finally see Rob and Taylor on Thursday at Comic Con! I’m going by myself to the convention but luckily I have a great Mom who will be camping out with me the night before and saving my spot in line so I can pick up my 1 day pass. I will be posting pictures up on TA all day for all of you. And I’ll try to get some great video as well. Anyone else going to Comic Con by themselves?? Maybe we can meet up and stay in line together.
I was wondering about that…camping out in front of the convention center. I really, really want to see the panel I don’t want to miss it. for those who have been before, is it really necessary to camp out or would getting there at 5am be fine to get the pass then going directly to the H Hall be sufficent?
jfbrenda: unfortunately if you do not have a pass they are sold out and nontransferable. I’m so sorry. We will have plenty of pictures to share…hopefully if we get in!!!
