   You know…I actually did wonder about that. After everyone was asking Stephenie if it was her eye on the cover of The Host, I began to wonder who was holding the apple! It’s kinda been bugging me for a while. Thanks for sharing!

   that’s really fun trivia! i never really thought about it…
   i just pulled my book out and the hands, well mostly the nails, looked pretty feminine to me

   I always thought that it was a women. And I always associated the cover with the scene in the cafeteria when she asks if he could eat. I don’t know why.

   But truthfully, I just figured they were some photoshopped hands or something. I never really gave it a second thought. That is cool though. Thx!

   As an art major, I did think about it a couple times because drawing hands is one of the things u do most in a figure drawing class.
   But yea. this is great.
   Now I can stop wondering.

    thats funny cause i thought i saw her. i asked if i could sit in her seat. Cause she was standing or doing whatever and i didnt even notice it was her, cause i came late. but WOW thats crazy. 0_0

    I did always wonder. I figured it was a woman, but my friend once asked me if it was a man and a woman holding the apple together, and I thought that could be a possibility, too. Now we know. Haha.

    Yeah, the hands looked female but i always thought they were supposed to be edward’s hands. And I also didn’t think they were real hands. they looked almost like wax.

    I’ve actually wondered if it was a male or female, then I concluded it looked more like woman hands. Very cool to know!

    I nevered actually wondered about ti , I just thought she got a picture of a random person holding a apple and just said “Lets put this on the book!” xD

    I always thought they were supposed to be Bella’s hands, just cause she had Edward, who is portrayed as the Forbidden Fruit, you know? SDo I figured it was a woman… Glad I was right XD
    But ya, I thought they were Stephenie’s hands.. hmm.. interesting.. how did this come about?

    From the picture it looked like there was an event devoted to the woman whose hands were on the cover? Looks like a lame attempt to capitalize off of the Twilight buzz with the movie coming out.

    actually i was literally just talking about that with my friend in geometry class on friay, i was tlaking about the book and shes like whos hands r those? i said i didnt no but i thought they were edward’s, cuz in the trailer you see him doing that in the cafeteria. she said they were masculin hands tho ~_~ imma tell her she was wrong.

    If you remember when you open the book there is a bible verse about the forbidden fruit. The story in the Bible goes that even though Adam and Eve both knew they weren’t suppose to eat from the tree they did and it was Eve that offered the fruit to Adam.

    Bella = the forbidden fruit.

    I thought it was obvious, that the apple is held by a woman…I don’t know…it never appealed to me, that it could also be held by a man…but yeah, I love the info! It’s funny to know, who’s hands are on the cover of my favourite book!
