Confirmed By Stephenie Meyer Herself: Mackenzie Foy Will Play Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn’

Some big news in two different forms today: First off, congratulations to our friends at the Official Twilight Facebook Page who just hit 15 million fans! Because of this (which brings us to the second bit of news), Stephenie Meyer herself has written a note to the fans and confirms some news we reported just over a week ago regarding The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Renesmee has been cast! Check out Stephenie’s note below:

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations to the Twilight Facebook Fan Page! 15 million fans! You guys never cease to amaze me. In other news…

Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy. She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer!

    Anyone else concerned that they keep saying Renesmee ages to 17 years in 7 years? Are they going to alter the ending for the movie? I’m hoping it’s some journalist’s incorrect interp of the story. Yes, they talk about her aging like that, but she actually only ages to around 5 within the context of the story.
