With the new casting news reported by The Hollywood Reporter. it looks like Taylor Lautner will be appearing in Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups 2. This new role adds more to Taylor’s diversifying role into comedy, and MTV has a look at why Taylor excels in comedy. Read more below:

He’s willing to make fun of himself
In 2009, Taylor hosted “Saturday Night Live” and his “Lab Partners” sketch had us laughing uncontrollably. Our Jacob Black played Marianna, a high school girl on Team Edward who’s unwilling to pair with a Team Jacob fan on a school project. Taylor not only made out with a Robert Pattinson notebook, but said that Jacob’s abs were simply CGI effects. “If those abs were real,” he said, “then the dude who played Jacob deserves an Oscar!” Well played, Taylor. Well played.

He’s confident
Taylor also starred in a Funny or Die video called “Field of Dreams 2: NFL Lockout.” In the comedic short, he played an Iowa farmer who, upon hearing the command from voices in his head, built a football field in the middle of his corn fields. “If you build it, they will come,” the creepy voice said. And come the NFL players did. Many stars are hesitant to play up their comedy roles and let the other actors take the spotlight, but not Taylor. He stands tall and isn’t overshadowed by his co-stars. This confidence means he’ll embrace his role in “Grown Ups 2″ and not stand back in the shadows leaving us wondering why he was cast.

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you another Jacob Black-themed video from Imprinted2510′s channel and is titled Jacob Black Remix || Goodbye My Lover, My Friend, My Bella || Breaking Dawn and features Goodbye My Lover by James Blunt.

I know, I know, two Jacob Black videos in a row but this video is too amazing not to share, especially when good Jacob videos are few and far in between. This video follows Jacob’s growing feelings from New Moon when he was just friends with Bella, to Eclipse when he was near obsessed with making Bella stay human until Breaking Dawn when he finally let Bella go at her wedding but was again drawn to her as the child grows in her. One can really feel his pain especially as he watches Bella suffer in her pregnancy, and also see Bella’s own pain at making him stay near her. The way the video ended, with Bella dying on the operation table, seems almost poignant since that was the point when Jacob finally let her go before he imprints on the one who was really the draw for him, Renesmee.

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you a Jacob Black-themed video from twentyfirstrecords’s channel and is titled Jacob Black Remix || Someone Like You and features Someone Like You by Adele and remixed by Tom Vader.

I’m not usually a fan of parodies but I have to confess that this is definitely a cute video. They have managed to turn Adele’s lovelorn Someone Like You to fit Jacob’s feelings and thoughts explicitly, especially when it comes to Bella choosing Edward over him at the end of Eclipse and then marrying in Breaking Dawn. Though I’ve always been Team Bella and consequently Team Edward as a result, it’s hard not to feel for Jacob when watching this video. The only silver lining would be when Jacob finally imprints on his own love, Renesmee, effectively finding someone like Bella indeed!

Kristen Stewart’s not the only Twilight Star to be gracing the covers of GQ this fall. While Kristen appears on the cover of British GQ, Taylor Lautner is on the cover for GQ Australia. In addition, Taylor has a great photo shoot inside and a nice interview as well. Check it all out after the jump:

There’s Something Taylor Lautner doesn’t want to talk about. He’s biting his nails. He’s having trouble making eye contact. He’s looking down at the table. And then there’s the nervous laughter, the kind that betrays a young man ill at ease.

“Oh boy,” he says.

Lautner is dressed in skinny dark jeans and lived-in black boots. His check flannel shirt is spread wide, revealing what appears to be the 19-year-old actor’s very first crop of chest hair. His smile is Cruise-like, packed with the kind of porcelain that has never been stained by a lick of red wine. Lautner is flashing those teeth, shifting in his chair, because he’s uncomfortable.

We’re sitting down to lunch at L’Ermitage, a swank hotel in Beverly Hills that Lautner likes for its privacy. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name, but pretends they’ve never seen your face. He needs that, these days, that kind of protection. Because Twilight’s Jacob Black — the teen wolf — is mobbed wherever he goes.

“It comes down to what kind of mood you’re in,” he says. “You have to make a decision before you go out: are you willing to sign autographs and take pictures, say hello and meet new people?”

Is it upsetting?

“I wouldn’t say I get upset about it. I asked for this,” he says. “It gets frustrating. But during that frustration you say, ‘OK. Why am I frustrated? I’m doing what I love.’ But sometimes you really just want to go do whatever you want to do.”
