Robert Pattinson in ‘Cosmopolis’ Photo Shoot

Posted July 3rd, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Robert Pattinson took part in a new interview for Industria Magazine, and part of the layout featured a new photo shoot for Cosmopolis. In the interview Rob talks about not only his role in Cosmopolis, but what it’s been like to play the (now) famous icon, Edward Cullen, in The Twilight Saga, and how all of it has changed his life. Check out more below:

Q: How do you cope with the attention?

A: I have never been fooled by the hysteria that surrounds me. It’s the character I play, Edward Cullen, the romantic vampire. Before the movie was even made, girls would scream at Stephenie Meyer’s public readings. Most people who are famous really like it and I can’t figure out how to like it that much. I’m not a particular horrible person so when a fan comes up to me in the street I’m nice to them but whenever you are mean people have no idea why. Not sure if that makes sense, sometimes I have no memory of what comes out my mouth.

Q: It’s ok. It did. You have The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 in October will you be relieved when it’s all over?

A: The only difficult thing about the Twilight series was that the character didn’t change. And so I didn’t really know what to do with it after a while. It works in the book, he’s much more of a canvas for the readers, which was why the first one worked so well for me. After a while people start to know you and you make other movies and you’re not a fantasy figure anymore. You’re just a guy. I don’t know how I feel about it, I’m still working on it. I just did the final reshoots a couple weeks ago. If the character could have got older and if he could have got hurt, it would be different for me. It’s beautiful as a self contained love story – where the two main protagonists will never leave each other no matter what – that’s a nice idea, but to play it? The audience already knows what’s going to happen before it happens. You don’t even have any suspension of disbelief.

Mackenzie Foy Revealed as Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ from Entertainment Weekly Cover

Posted June 13th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Last night we got our first sneak peek at Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Now EW.com is bringing us even more of Renesmee with an exclusive first look from the upcoming new cover and feature of Entertainment Weekly. Check out the adorable Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee below:

It’s the beginning of the end. When The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th, it will mark final installment in the blockbuster franchise. But that’s not to say it won’t pack a bunch of surprises—and several new characters. Chief among them is Renesmee, the half-human, half-vampire baby of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), who is played by Mackenzie Foy, 11. “It’s a hugely important part,” says director Bill Condon, who loved watching Foy and her older costars interact. “They were amazing with her,” he says. “It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.” It helped that Stewart began her own acting career as a child, in movies such as The Safety of Objects and Panic Room. “I loved chatting with Mackenzie,” she says. “I’m always curious about what’s going on in the minds of kids on set. She’s really close to the age I was when I started.”

But Pattinson points out that having an impressionable youth on the set curbed certain cast members’ predilection for raucousness. “We’re all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore,” he says. “You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around.” Or at least attempt to. “She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.”

Get the full story over at EW.com here and be sure to pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly for all of the exclusive pictures and interveiws available this Friday, June 15th.

Finally! I feel like I have literally been waiting years to see little miss Mackenzie officially as Renesmee (and honestly it might be years at this point!)

What do you think of Mackenzie as Renesmee in this exclusive look from EW.com? Does this make you more excited to see Breaking Dawn - Part 2 now?

‘Twilight Saga’ Scores Get New Life from City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

Posted April 24th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Thanks to the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra the Twilight Saga scores are getting a brand new life. The Orchestra has taken music from all four movies so far, interpreted and performed it, and then put it all together on a compilation CD. Check out more below:

Featuring tracks from each of the “Twilight” films to date, “Music from The Twilight Saga” isn’t just your average compilation. That’s because the music is interpreted and performed by no less an august body than the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, which was actually founded in 1947 specifically to provide music for movies.

It’s a sonic experience that no “Twilight” fan can afford to miss — and which no “Twilight” fan should miss, considering “Music from The Twilight Saga” is already available for early download right now.

Just goes to show that no matter what other films might try to catch our interest, it isn’t quite twilight for “Twilight” just yet.

See the full story at NextMovie here and go get the album at Amazon here.

Thanks Noor!

Could ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ Take the Box Office by Storm?

Posted March 27th, 2012 By: Evie 4 Comments »

Right on the heels of the Access Hollywood discussion regarding the different yet similar demographics between The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games, Hollywood.com has an article that focuses solely on the magic of the first teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Could the magic of seeing Bella finally find her place in the world as a vampire bring Breaking Dawn - Part 2 to the top of the box office? Read more below:

Naysayers beware: even those who met the first films of the series with lukewarm reactions were turned around by Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (here’s our review for proof), while 2012 is shaping up to be Stewart’s year of image redefinition. Here, she’s completely alive in a way we haven’t seen her before. For those who hoped Stewart would one day come alive on screen, her turn as a bloodthirsty undead may, ironically, the be that opportunity.

Watch the tail end of the spot, Bella emerging from behind a tree, ready to hunt down a deer. Bizarre, crazy and in perfectly tune with director Bill Condon’s previous installment, there’s reason to believe Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will top its predecessors. There’s a new vampire in town and it appears she’s ready to give the Twlight series even more bite.

Access Hollywood Weighs in on the Box Office Draw Differences Between ‘The Twilight Saga’ and ‘The Hunger Games’

Posted March 27th, 2012 By: Evie 2 Comments »

Access Hollywood has stepped into the ring to discuss why they think that The Hunger Games had such a phenomenal time at the box office with their incredible $155 million dollar opening weekend, which has outscored any Twilight Saga movie so far. Far beyond simple qualities of either story are much bigger things when it comes to the box office, such as the male and female demographic as well as age range. Check out more below:

First of all I have to say it’s interesting to see any comparisons being drawn at all in fans and the media. The two stories couldn’t be more different if they tried. I’m also confused as to all the hatred I’m finding between fans from the two series. Why can’t we like both things? They wouldn’t play the trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in front of The Hunger Games if they didn’t think there would be fan crossover! One doesn’t have to slam either series, or feel the need to defend the one you like better. Both series have awesome stories and devout fans. I think what it boils down to is overall The Hunger Games perhaps attracts not just females, but more of the male audience than Twilight has, and it seems to draw a larger portion of the adult crowd as well. That just means it’s got a bigger demographic. It has nothing to do with the quality of either series!

I’m a fan of both :)

Thanks Noor! (Via Spunk-Ransom)
