Kristen Stewart Tops “Highest-Paid Actress” List at Forbes

Posted June 26th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

This week Forbes has posted their 2012 list for the “Highest-Paid Actresses” and for the first time ever, Kristen Stewart is at #1! Check out more below:

At this point, could anyone else play Bella Swan in Twilight? Probably not; if the studio tried to switch in another actress, fans would revolt. So for the last two Twilight films, Stewart has been able to demand an estimated $12.5 million per film, plus a share of the profits.

Her two co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, get paid the same, but Stewart earned more than them this year because of Snow White and the Huntsman. Stewart’s earnings between May 2011 and May 2012 totaled $34.5 million, helping her rank 43rd on our Celebrity 100 list. (The list measures a combination of money and fame.)

At 22, Stewart is the youngest woman on our list by 16 years. The next youngest is Kristen Wiig who is 38. Last year Stewart ranked 5th on our list of the Highest-Paid Actresses tied with Julia Roberts. This year Roberts ranked 6th.

Fan Video Sunday: I Know I Did It Right

Posted April 8th, 2012 By: LexiconAficionado 2 Comments »

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you a Bella Swan themed video from AntigoniX’s channel and is titled Isabella Marie Cullen || I Know I Did It Right and features Live for What I’d Die For by Jess Mills.

I am so in love with this video! It is such an amazing tribute to the strengths and determination of Isabella Marie Swan Cullen that we all adore throughout Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. She is such a strong character and doesn’t get enough credit. She would do anything for those she love - Edward, her father, the Cullens, her unborn baby; Renesmee, Jacob and the Quileutte tribe and even the town of Forks. She is the most understated warrior who does not need to expound on her strengths since they come to fore when circumstances require them to. And we see that happen time and again throughout the series. She would definitely live for what she’d die for and literally died for what she believed in. Jess Mills’s Live for What I’d Die For seems truly suited for our beloved Bella.

What do you think of the video? Do you think it’s managed to pay proper tribute to Bella?

Fan Video Sunday: Criminal II

Posted March 25th, 2012 By: LexiconAficionado No Comments »

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you an Edward and Bella themed video from sklost’s channel and is titled Criminal II || Edward & Bella and features Criminal by Britney Spears.

Words can’t say enough how I truly adore this video. The theme is simple yet hits a chord for all of us who vouch for Edward and Bella belonging to each other. I love the emphasis on their initial attraction in Twilight, how the ever self-deprecating Edward tried to fight it yet he was helpless against Bella’s determination not to view him as a predator but consider him as an individual and treat him as one and of course cherishing his true worth.

Despite the trials and tribulations they faced in New Moon and Eclipse, their love prevailed and we all rejoiced when they were finally united as man and wife in Breaking Dawn. This video reminded us that Bella was not the only one who got her happily ever after, indeed it was as much Edward’s for he was the one who waited a hundred years for his true love. It took a special individual like Bella Swan to bring finally bring happiness and fulfillment to Edward Cullen. They are truly deserving of each other and happiest when together. Britney Spears’ Criminal seems fitting for this video and the Edward and Bella’s voice-overs just added on to its perfection!

What do you think of this video? Did it resonate as much with you as it did with me?

This is a short yet cool video about Edward Cullen, what drove him, how Bella Swan mattered to him and how his decisions and actions always have her well-being in mind, from Twilight, to New Moon, to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Fan Video Sunday: It’s Where I Belong

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you a Bella Swan themed video from OnlySexyVampires’s channel and is titled It’s Where I Belong….

This video is just perfection. It’s ingenious to use Bella’s narrative in Twilight and her speech to Edward in Eclipse. Those, coupled with the wonderfully chosen and placed clips has resulted in an amazing video. Bella’s words really match everything perfectly, from her clumsiness to how well she fit in Edward’s world to Renesmee’s birth and even her death and rebirth. She definitely belongs in Edward’s world as he does in hers. I just wish I know the title of the Celtic instrumental music used in the video. It’s just been beautifully inserted into the video.

What do you think of the video? Were you as invested in it as I was?
