Posted June 24th, 2012 By: LexiconAficionado No Comments »

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you an Breaking Dawn Part 2 themed video from MyMovieAddictionsx’s channel and is titled Breaking Dawn Part 2 || Breathe of Life and features Breath of Life by Florence + The Machine.

I am so glad that someone has already used the new Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer to make a fanvideo. I can’t say how much I adore this. It has all our favourite characters, from Edward, Bella, Renesmee and the Cullens to Jacob and the wolves and even the Cullen friends, not to mention the power-crazy Aro and the Volturi. I can’t get enough of how amazing vampire Bella looks! She truly is born for this immortal life. I love the choice of song. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s truly uncanny how Florence + The Machine seem to fit The Twilight Saga so well! November can’t come soon enough, it seems!

What do you think of the video? Does it make you wish that November is already here and excited for Breaking Dawn Part 2?

Kristen Stewart Gives Insight Into Bella in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ and Talks Adele for ‘Snow White’ Inspiration

Posted May 29th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

The Chicago Sun-Times has a fantastic interview with the beautiful Kristen Stewart as she has a look at both Bella Cullen and Snow White in their respective films, Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and Snow White and The Huntsman. Here Kristen really gives voice to the way she feels that Bella has achieved what she wants in her life and is looking forward to her future in Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (and beyond). Kristen also spoke about how music from Adele gave her the passion she needed for certain scenes in Snow White and The Huntsman. Read it all below:

“How do I compare Bella from ‘Breaking Dawn’ with Snow White?” she poses. “I guess the only actual comparison — and a million could be drawn — is that they are both very, very strong matriarchs that need to find that position in life. They’re both icons.”

“I had Adele on my iPod all the time while doing Snow White,” she says. “I choreographed whole marches with the army behind me to Adele in my one ear.

“Adele is really good for the Snow White story. Almost oddly good. She hits the nail on the head for me, and her words are incredible.”

Stewart also has a little film called “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” out this fall. It’s the last in the “Twilight Saga” films. “We shot both movies at the same time completely out of sequence,” she says.

The finale brings Bella to a satisfying conclusion. “Bella is a woman who is always looking towards her future and what she will achieve,” she says. “Ultimately in the last movie, she gets what she wants. She is finally a vampire/human woman who is married and a mother. She’s important and relevant.

“So much happens to her that it was a bit overwhelming,” Stewart says. “But it gave me so much energy every single day to tell the rest of her story.”

Fan Video Sunday: Waiting For The End

Posted April 29th, 2012 By: LexiconAficionado No Comments »

A very Happy Sunday to everyone! This week we bring you a Twilight Saga themed video from GreysArwen’s channel and is titled The Twilight Saga || Waiting For The End and features Waiting For The End by Linkin Park.

This is a cute little video that showed the journey Edward and Bella were on from Twilight, to New Moon, to Eclipse and eventually Breaking Dawn. Bella knew the risk she was taking being involved with Edward but would have expected to face danger from Edward’s immediate family while Edward would have expected his life to be uneventful since he was involved with a human. Yet their lives went through so many upheavals and faced dangers from so many quarters, from werewolves to newborn vampires, and even as far away as Volterra in Italy. Indeed, the Cullens must have faced more adventures since Bella entered their lives than before, none of them planned but happened anyway. I think this video is bittersweet for me, for as Bella is excited to get on to her life as a vampire, and we are as excited to see her as one, it would also signal the end of the Twilight Saga for us. Interesting how Linkin Park’s Waiting For The End fits the video so perfectly!

what do you think of the video?

MTV’s Best Moments from the ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ Teaser Trailer

Posted March 26th, 2012 By: Evie 1 Comment »

First off, if you haven’t seen the new teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in it’s entirety, go follow that link now! MTV made a wish list last week for what they hoped would appear in that teaser trailer, and now that we have the full teaser trailer online today, they’ve gone ahead and made a list of what they feel are the trailer’s five best moments. Check it all out below:

The Red-Eye Reveal

One of the key characteristics of vampires are those blood-red eyes, and Bella’s steal the show when they get their own close-up in the trailer. When the camera shows them as she is standing with Edward, we know the transformation is complete. The scene will speak to fans who having been craving this next step for Bella the first movie.

Bella on the Hunt

Several shots give us a preview of Vampire Bella in action, including her new lightning-fast speed and desire to hunt for blood. We see her running through the forest and, in the last shot of the trailer, eyeing a deer. This is a pivotal moment for Bella. since she now understands the bloodthirst that Edward has been fighting the entire span of their love affair.

Her Revelation About Being a Vampire

Bella’s personal struggles seem to be over, and her line in the trailer proves that she’s finally found her true identity. She says, “After 18 years of being utterly ordinary, I finally found that I can shine.” The usually reserved Bella is now strong and full of confidence, prompted by her newfound immortality.

See the last two reasons over at MTV here.

Thanks Noor!

I love the red eyes. Bring on vampire Bella!

MyAnna Buring Discusses the Tanya - Edward Dynamic in ‘Breaking Dawn’

Posted March 15th, 2012 By: Evie 4 Comments »

Glamour has a brand new interview with the gorgeous MyAnna Buring, who plays Tanya from the Denali Coven in both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Here MyAnna gives us some insight into the relationship (or lack of!) between Tanya and Edward, why the character of Tanya appealed to her, and being a part of the Twilight family. Check it all out below:

What appealed to you about the role of Tanya?

I was a big fan of the Twilight books, and also Bill Condon. So when Bill and Stephenie Meyers wanted me to play Tanya it was a chance to work with two people whose work I love. On top of that I loved the idea of playing a vampire, and to be one of the new characters introduced in the final Twilight Saga installments.

Your relationship with Edward Cullen is quite complicated. How did you get that to come across in Breaking Dawn?

Well Tanya has always held a torch for Edward, which sadly for her is a feeling that has never been reciprocated. To go into the details of that story was impossible in Breaking Dawn - as it is a separate story and we simply didn’t have the time to incorporate it. So it just functioned as information and history for me playing Tanya. As she never displayed any jealous behaviour towards Edward and Bella’s union in the books, Bill and I decided that she had the experience and the grace to let go of the things she could not change. We did however shoot a scene where she teased and joked with Edward about being jealous that he’d tied the knot. But it had to be cut because it was too long.

Thanks Noor!

Are you sad that that particular scene with Edward and Tanya had to be cut from Breaking Dawn - Part 1?

‘Twilight’ Prom Scene Included in “20 Epic Scenes from the Best Night of High School”

Posted March 5th, 2012 By: Evie 2 Comments »

The Huffington Post’s Teen section has a fun little look at “20 Epic Scenes from the Best Night of High School”. The article is of course talking about prom night, with all of the love, dresses, dancing and of course sometimes drama, that comes with it. The completely famous prom scene with Edward and Bella in Twilight is definitely high up on the list. Check it all out below:

Prom is the pinnacle of any high school career, and movies that represent them right are golden in our book! Whether they’re romantic, awkward, hilarious or just plain scary, prom scenes remind us of why we love high school. Though our own experience might not be as eventful or dramatic as on the big-screen, it sure is fun to enjoy in (and sometimes cringe at) the shenanigans that go down in our favorite prom flicks. We’ve put together a list of the top movie prom scenes for your nostalgic enjoyment!

Twilight

You’d take the risk of bringing a vampire as your prom date too if he was Edward Cullen. Set to the tune of Iron & Wine’s “Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” the gazebo scene makes us believe this kind of epic love really does exist, tear.

See all of the movies that made the cut over at The Huffington Post here.
