Kristen Stewart on Her Fear of Horses and Filming ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’

Posted March 24th, 2012 By: Evie 1 Comment »

Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and The Huntsman has been making quite the splash these days, with a new trailer last week and an appearance on ‘Today’ with Kristen and Charlize. Back when Kristen made an appearance at WonderCon last weekend, she told the audience about her fear of horses and how she had to overcome that to play the part of Snow White. People.com has the story:

“I got to jump off cliffs and ride horses, and that terrifies me,” Stewart said Saturday during a WonderCon panel for the film. “I was really, really not happy about having to do all that [horseback riding]. I don’t like that – I hate that.”

The actress has been wary of horses – “I hate ‘em,” said the star, who suffered a riding injury as a child. “I fell off a horse once and hurt myself really badly,” she added. “I broke and dislocated my elbow when I was, like, nine.”

But Stewart put aside her fears for the film, a re-envisioning of the classic fairy tale in which the title character is more warrior than damsel in distress. “I just had to not think about it,” Stewart said. “I wanted so badly to do this that it was just like, ‘Alright, well, if I perish by horse, that’s all good.’”

Still, she suffered some minor injuries on set. “I hurt myself a lot,” she said, but in spite of her pains, playing Snow White was a dream come true.

“I’ve always wanted to do a f– badass action movie because they’re cool,” Stewart explained. “The reason I’ve never really been able to do things that are just thoughtlessly badass and strong and whatever is always because it doesn’t make sense. This just made so much sense.”

Kristen Stewart Appears on ‘Today’ with Charlize Theron for ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’

It looks like promotion for Snow White and The Huntsman is going to be going full steam ahead this week. We just showed you the brand new trailer for Kristen Stewart’s latest movie, and now we have one more treat! Kristen made an early appearance this morning with her Snow White and The Huntsman co-star, Charlize Theron, on ‘Today’ to chat about the movie. Both gals chatted about their characters, why they love this new take on the old fairy tale so much, and why we’re going to love it too. Enjoy the interview below:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

I have to say, Matt Lauer asks Kristen some of the stupidest questions. How on Earth does Kristen have any idea what the stars of The Hunger Games are feeling about their movie or even more so, how big that movie is going to be? Despite some less than stellar questions directed at her, Kristen did fantastic and she certainly looked gorgeous!

You can also watch over on ‘Today’ at MSNBC here.

Kristen Stewart in New ‘Snow White and the Hunstman’ Promotion

Posted November 9th, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

Sure we’re going full steam ahead with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, but the new pictures for Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and the Huntsman are too fantastic not to take note of. Universal has just released a brand new banner for Snow White and the Huntsman featuring Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. Then we have a cool little article where MTV deconstructs Kristen’s Snow White outfit, and news of the world premiere trailer. Check it all out after the jump:

Universal has released new artwork for Snow White And The Huntsman. The three-character banner shows Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth as the title characters and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen. Directed by Rupert Sanders, it’s slated to open June 1, 2012.

Let’s deconstruct K Loveliness’s outfit. She’s most definitely wearing leather gloves that extend all the way past her elbows. This is a look we want to adopt RIGHT NOW because not only does it look kewl, it allows you to wear short sleeves in the winter without getting cold. I’m flipping out over these puffed and pleated sleeves too. They’re old school fairy-tale times in the best possible way and flatter arms like nobody’s biz. Also, the length of this dress (is it leather or suede?) is perfect and the color works with every skin tone. Is that a lacey tulle underlay barely peeking out of the bottom? Ohhh, yes, it is, and it really helps to feminize the overall look while also complementing the romance of the sleeves.

Entertainment Tonight to premiere brand new trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman tomorrow
