MyAnna Buring Discusses the Tanya - Edward Dynamic in ‘Breaking Dawn’

Posted March 15th, 2012 By: Evie 4 Comments »

Glamour has a brand new interview with the gorgeous MyAnna Buring, who plays Tanya from the Denali Coven in both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Here MyAnna gives us some insight into the relationship (or lack of!) between Tanya and Edward, why the character of Tanya appealed to her, and being a part of the Twilight family. Check it all out below:

What appealed to you about the role of Tanya?

I was a big fan of the Twilight books, and also Bill Condon. So when Bill and Stephenie Meyers wanted me to play Tanya it was a chance to work with two people whose work I love. On top of that I loved the idea of playing a vampire, and to be one of the new characters introduced in the final Twilight Saga installments.

Your relationship with Edward Cullen is quite complicated. How did you get that to come across in Breaking Dawn?

Well Tanya has always held a torch for Edward, which sadly for her is a feeling that has never been reciprocated. To go into the details of that story was impossible in Breaking Dawn - as it is a separate story and we simply didn’t have the time to incorporate it. So it just functioned as information and history for me playing Tanya. As she never displayed any jealous behaviour towards Edward and Bella’s union in the books, Bill and I decided that she had the experience and the grace to let go of the things she could not change. We did however shoot a scene where she teased and joked with Edward about being jealous that he’d tied the knot. But it had to be cut because it was too long.

Thanks Noor!

Are you sad that that particular scene with Edward and Tanya had to be cut from Breaking Dawn - Part 1?

Posted May 23rd, 2011 By: Evie 9 Comments »

While Kristen Stewart may be one of Glamour’s best dressed women, Robert Pattinson is the #1 man in Glamour’s “Best Dressed Man” for 2011. Now Rob had to fight hard to get to the top of the pack this year. No wait, Rob also came in at #1 last year! Check out more below:

1. Robert Pattinson

See the full list at Glamour here and you can see last year’s list here.

While Rob may not appear to care much about fashion in everyday life, there is no denying that when Rob dresses up the world is ready. A good example would be the different colored suits that Rob has been wearing to different premieres. Whether it’s maroon or brown, Rob doesn’t always just stay with the basic black and gray, and that’s quite refreshing.

What do you think of Rob being Glmour’s “Best Dressed Man” two years in a row?

Ashley Greene Covers May Issue of Glamour

Posted March 30th, 2011 By: Evie No Comments »

The beautiful Ashley Greene is going to be gracing the cover of yet one more magazine. Ashley is the cover girl for Glamour’s May Issue with a full photo shoot and interview as well. Check it all out below:

GLAMOUR: You have a truckload of experience with the Twilight films, but you are also just getting started. It’s kind of funny, right?

ASHLEY GREENE: I still am extremely green in some ways. And so each time I work on a character, it is very exciting, very scary.

GLAMOUR: How do you define the rest of your career after being part of this huge Twilight phenomenon so early on?

ASHLEY GREENE: It is difficult because people look at you as that character. I want to play a role of a 24-year-old woman, not 17-year-old girls. So I have picked a couple of films like Butter to show that. And it’s perfectly fine not to do anything for a year if I don’t find the right thing.

GLAMOUR: To have a career like yours, you have to be professional. You have to be in control.

ASHLEY GREENE: You have to try. I am certainly not perfect. I don’t think you should try to be perfect for anyone. When you come to terms with that, then you’re OK.

GLAMOUR: Let’s just talk about life offscreen. Tell me about your charity work.

ASHLEY GREENE: I work with a charity called Donate My Dress. It’s got chapters all over the country where you can donate special-occasion dresses. Prom is a big deal when you’re 15 years old, and it enables girls who don’t have the money to come in and choose something special.

GLAMOUR: That’s lovely. Your parents must be so proud.

ASHLEY GREENE: The only thing they ever wanted was for me to do what I wanted to. They are very proud because it’s a hard thing to not let Hollywood change you.

Glamour Talks to Alex Meraz and BooBoo Stewart

Posted August 6th, 2010 By: Evie 2 Comments »

Glamour.com has a new interview with Alex Meraz and BooBoo Stewart. In the interview the guys talk about what they think of their on-screen wolves, being jealous of Sam’s wolf, Paul’s character and the character they would play if they could play anyone. Check out the video below:

I actually did not remember that Alex tried out for Sam and didn’t get that role, but instead got the role of Paul. It’s pretty funny that both guys are jealous of Sam’s wolf because he stands out so much compared to the other wolves. That is true though, that black wolf really stands out compared to the others. Since Alex would be a vampire if he could be any character, does that make him Team Edward? ;)

What did you think of this interview with Alex and BooBoo?
