Posted June 27th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Jack Morrissey is well known in the twitter world for answering fan questions regarding both Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2. Jack is of course, Breaking Dawn director, Bill Condon’s, partner - and therefore privy to some pretty inside information. Once again, Jack was back answering questions, this time in reaction to the teaser trailer and some more specifics for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Read more below:

Q: In the posters we see Edward with a kinda classic look like in the 1st 2 films. Will he wear clothes like this in BD2?
Jack: Yes, everything you’ve seen on the EW covers and posters are actual costumes seen in the film.

Q: Why is BD2 coming out over a year after it was filmed and BD1 came out in theaters?
Jack: There are over TWO THOUSAND visual effects shots that need to be finished.

Q: If we don’t get the full trailer ’til fall, do we still get scenes at Comic Con anyway?
Jack: You’ll see stuff you haven’t seen yet inside Hall H for the last Twilight panel at SDCC. Better get down there!

Q: By the teaser, there will be a lot of the Volturi, right?
Jack: Yep, a whole field full of ‘em. “They even brought the wives.” P.S. So much Aro and Jane for you to look forward to.

Q: Does Nessie get a Cullen Crest necklace?
Jack: Not quite - she wears another accessory of significance.

Q: Will we see more of baby Nessie with Edward and Bella or will it be everything with Mackenzie?
Jack: Both, and also other growth between. Half-human/half-vampire kids - they grow up so fast!

Q: When in the movie do we first get to see Renesmee?
Jack: Just as soon as her vampire Mom gets to see her.

Q: Bella and Edward will go to Alaska to find Denali’s clan contrary to the book where they wait for everybody?
Jack: Correct. It’s in the teaser trailer.

Mackenzie Foy Revealed as Renesmee in ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ from Entertainment Weekly Cover

Posted June 13th, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Last night we got our first sneak peek at Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Now EW.com is bringing us even more of Renesmee with an exclusive first look from the upcoming new cover and feature of Entertainment Weekly. Check out the adorable Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee below:

It’s the beginning of the end. When The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th, it will mark final installment in the blockbuster franchise. But that’s not to say it won’t pack a bunch of surprises—and several new characters. Chief among them is Renesmee, the half-human, half-vampire baby of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), who is played by Mackenzie Foy, 11. “It’s a hugely important part,” says director Bill Condon, who loved watching Foy and her older costars interact. “They were amazing with her,” he says. “It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.” It helped that Stewart began her own acting career as a child, in movies such as The Safety of Objects and Panic Room. “I loved chatting with Mackenzie,” she says. “I’m always curious about what’s going on in the minds of kids on set. She’s really close to the age I was when I started.”

But Pattinson points out that having an impressionable youth on the set curbed certain cast members’ predilection for raucousness. “We’re all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore,” he says. “You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around.” Or at least attempt to. “She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.”

Get the full story over at EW.com here and be sure to pick up a copy of Entertainment Weekly for all of the exclusive pictures and interveiws available this Friday, June 15th.

Finally! I feel like I have literally been waiting years to see little miss Mackenzie officially as Renesmee (and honestly it might be years at this point!)

What do you think of Mackenzie as Renesmee in this exclusive look from EW.com? Does this make you more excited to see Breaking Dawn - Part 2 now?

‘Breaking Dawn - Part 1′ Wins “Best Movie” at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Posted June 3rd, 2012 By: Evie No Comments »

Best Kiss wasn’t the only award that the cast of Breaking Dawn walked away with tonight. In addition The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 also won “Movie of the Year” to complete a four-peat in that category as well. Check out the acceptance speech from Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner below:

Get More: 2012 Movie Awards, New Movies

Stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and producer Wyck Godfrey took the stage to accept the award from presenter and Stewart’s “Panic Room” co-star, Jodie Foster.

“Thank you so much, you guys, I know I always say the same thing,” Stewart said. “I’ve been promoting ‘Snow White,’ and I get asked a lot of questions, especially about ‘Twilight,’ which I love. The most common is, like, ‘God, you must be so happy to get away from it. You must be so happy to distance yourself from it as far away as you possibly can.’ And I’m like, ‘Shut up! What are you talking about?’ I know we’ve been here for a while, so really, thank you very much.”

“We really have so many people to thank, not only for this award but for the past few years,” Lautner chimed in. “But first and foremost, we have to thank you guys. I want to thank the whole entire cast and crew for their hard work and passion on this. Our producers, Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt. Our incredible director Bill Condon, all of Summit Entertainment. And I forgot a big one, the creator of this thing, producer and author Stephenie Meyer. I’m so excited for you guys to see the last and final part of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ in theaters November 16.”

See more at MTV here.

You did it again Twilighters! We beat out big contenders like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games!!

Teaser Poster for ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ Makes Appearance at CinemaCon

Posted April 23rd, 2012 By: Evie 1 Comment »

Last year we had our very first glimpse at the artwork for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 at CinemaCon (formorely known as ShoWest), in the form of a teaser poster for the movie. This year, once again, Collider is bringing us the first teaser poster for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Now we’ve already seen some versions of this poster floating around online, and the official title treatment has been around since February. However this is our first really good chance to see the color being used along with that official date! Check out the poster below:

Almost a year ago, Summit Entertainment premiered the first promo poster for director Bill Condon‘s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. So it makes sense that at this year’s show, Summit would premiere the first poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. For those unaware, CinemaCon is a convention put on for theater owners in order to get a look at what the studios have to offer for the rest of the year, and where vendors can show new products for theaters to buy; it’s basically Comic-Con for theater owners. Besides showing off never before seen footage, the studios often bring the cast and the filmmakers. Over the course of a few days, Hollywood comes to Las Vegas.

While I’m sure Twilight fans would love to see a great photo of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on the first poster, it’s just like last year in that it’s just the logo, the date, and info about the website on the bottom.

See the poster full size at Collider here and see the similar poster for Eclipse here.

Bill Condon Gives Production Updates on ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′

Posted April 14th, 2012 By: Evie 6 Comments »

Bill Condon, director of both The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2, has taken to the official Twilight Saga Facebook page to put some rumors to rest regarding re-shoots on Breaking Dawn - Part 2. It turns out that some technical work on the film is needed and some cast and crew will be going back, including Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Check out the full note from Bill below:

Hello Twihards!

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.

A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece - each shot, no matter how brief - needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots - the last tiny missing pieces. We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.

I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…

I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters — they’re unlike any “Twilight” images you’ve seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!

Until then, have a very happy spring, and I’ll check back in with you soon.

Best wishes,
Bill

Could ‘Breaking Dawn - Part 2′ Take the Box Office by Storm?

Posted March 27th, 2012 By: Evie 4 Comments »

Right on the heels of the Access Hollywood discussion regarding the different yet similar demographics between The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games, Hollywood.com has an article that focuses solely on the magic of the first teaser trailer for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Could the magic of seeing Bella finally find her place in the world as a vampire bring Breaking Dawn - Part 2 to the top of the box office? Read more below:

Naysayers beware: even those who met the first films of the series with lukewarm reactions were turned around by Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (here’s our review for proof), while 2012 is shaping up to be Stewart’s year of image redefinition. Here, she’s completely alive in a way we haven’t seen her before. For those who hoped Stewart would one day come alive on screen, her turn as a bloodthirsty undead may, ironically, the be that opportunity.

Watch the tail end of the spot, Bella emerging from behind a tree, ready to hunt down a deer. Bizarre, crazy and in perfectly tune with director Bill Condon’s previous installment, there’s reason to believe Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will top its predecessors. There’s a new vampire in town and it appears she’s ready to give the Twlight series even more bite.

Thanks Noor!
